In the heart of Heritage Square downtown this incredible place is in an old historic home and serves up authentic, gourmet Japanese fare. Oft praised as on of Phoenix's best restaurants & I agree!

Restaurant is situated inside a beautiful Victorian house and food served in it is equally beautiful. I don't think anything will disappoint you but do try pork belly buns!

Unbelievably good, creative japanese small plates. Loved the oyster with uni, the hamachi with grapefruit, the soft shell crab, miso black cod, and perfectly cooked lamb. This place is incredible.

Lunch's warm duck salad, pork belly buns, okonomiyaki and panko-fried soft shell crab sandwich are so off-the-charts good you'll be pinching yourself at the prices (hovering around $10). Read more

Pork belly was really good! Sashimi was really fresh and delicious. A+ for the food, but the style of dining was definitely not for my group.

Sea bass & pork belly are worth it. The octopus fritter special was very ordinary. Oysters were good but pricey for only two pieces. I would come back for the warm dishes...they are more fulfilling.

You have to admire a chef that offers a wide variety of beers for a cuisine that has nuanced delicate flavors. Everything from an IPA to a tart lambic-like wild ale to Oyster stout (yes) to yam beer.

NYE dinner was super quiet and tasty! Expensive for the amount of food you get, but just shut up, eat it, and enjoy :)
