- I love this coffee shop. Lines are always long though, even at 7–8am. But that is a sign of a place that is doing well! Just be prepared to wait if you order an espresso drink.
- Josh HigginsJanuary 25, 2015Really great coffee. They use Counter Culture coffee beans, and their drinks taste exquisite as a result. Also, their latte art is cool. Can be difficult to find a table, as it is a busy place.
- ᴡ ElliotMay 13, 2015Absolutely love this spot. The hummus sandwich and the quiche of the day are on point, and my friends can't stop talking about the red velvet cookie.
- Vino50: Grape American Road TripMarch 18, 2012Great wine spot but dont overlook the iced Americano...one of the best I've had. Ask for Tammy at the upstairs wine bar and tell her you want to try some New York wine.
- Paige CMarch 27, 2016Delicious coffee, but you MUST try their homemade cinnamon buns! Also, super dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating!
- Direnc KadiogluNovember 7, 2016Try peach blossom white tea. Delicious. I love their breakfast. Each time I go there trying different dishes. So far my fav is smoked salmon poached egg sandwich 👍
- Great workspaces. Upstairs, main room, back room, outdoors - each has its own ambiance...choose what suits you. Upstairs now: 17 people, 15 open laptops.
- GeauxDC FoodieApril 20, 2015One of the best coffee spots in DC. Expect to wait but the care taken in the preparation and delivery make up for the wait. Don't miss the homemade pastries!
- ArdvaarkMarch 27, 2016DC-Area Coffee History Trivia: This space was once occupied by the second location of the now-defunct Murky Coffee, which was the first shop in the area to really take specialty coffee seriously.
- Sophia HApril 24, 2018Espresso is one of the best I've had. Masala chai latte was delicious too. Spinach & poached egg and Avocado toast were good but nothing mind-blowing...
- One of the few places that does coffee right. Go for the latte and one of their freshly made baked goods (nutella pop tart? YES!). Decent beer choices as well.
- Fav place in Ballston. Nutella pop tart is amazing and breakfast sandwiches are great too .
- Ashley RoseApril 30, 2016Seems like 9am is the magic hour on the weekends, try to arrive before. Echo the Carmel latte comments (even as a latte purist), and the spring chicken sandwich- delish but messy/hard to eat.
- natalie kayApril 30, 2016Scones are delicious. Especially the lemon Blueberry ricotta. Silver Needle tea. Quiches are always on point.
- ClosedDecember 7, 2018The vibe of this place is awesome, you can come in get your work done and have a great of coffee.
- Very nice strategic location and hang out place for all ages. Try the daily soup and grilled cheese
- Usually busy but worth the wait. My favorites are the caramel latte, Nutella pop tart, and spinach egg and cheese sandwich (which they serve until 3).
- Good coffee, but the baristas take a LONG time. Very hipstery. The salmon sandwich is to die for, though, and you can usually find a seat at a communal table.
- BobbyOctober 21, 2018Salmon and poached egg breakfast sandwich! Everything about this was on point 👍
- AlexJune 28, 2015The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich here is one of the best I've ever had.
- The brown rice and chickpea bowl is tremendous and huge. Really filling and, if you add bacon, all you need for dinner.
- Amy CummingsMay 12, 2019It’s crowded on the weekends, but I still had no problem finding a space to sit down with my laptop and work.
- Amazing coffee !! If you love the taste of coffee try the classic cappuccino 👍.. Great outdoor seating if weather permits ..
- Great spaces upstairs, downstairs & outside! Plus $5 wine glasses for happy hour and a great meat & cheese selection!
- Lacy BaugherOctober 21, 2013Great place to hang out and get some work done with great drink options. Current favorite: the chai is fabulous.
- Thomas Vander WalOctober 20, 2017Their regular filter coffee is really good. If the weather is good, sitting outside is a real treat.
- Good coffee, good food, good wine, good staff, rotating local artists. It's a great place for lots of occasions.
- The best place to eat a cookie. My faves are salt & pepper butterscotch, the ranger and rosemary blueberry. Thank god this place exists.
- Northside, the quintessential Arlington stop. A must go but beware of the crowds. Upstairs wine bar is on point.
- What a fun “local” for hanging out during the day (for coffee) or at night (for some wine)
- Now OwlJanuary 23, 2011Internet connection sometimes bad. Enough bustle to keep you entertained w enough space if you want to be alone w your thoughts. Great coffee and food menu. Recommend quiches and potato salad.
- The spinach egg sandwich is possibly the best breakfast sandwich in the universe. Although I still don't know how to eat it without getting covered in egg yolk...
- Plan on driving a while looking for a space, and table space is a premium. Sunday is church day so plan your arrival time accordingly. Good food, good coffee!
- Ronald BarbaMay 25, 2013I'm reminded tonight of why I hate coming here to do work: it gets loud as shit. Particularly, the acoustics in the back room amplifies everyone's voice threefold. Great place otherwise.
- They serve wine and beer in addition to coffee so this amazing cafe's grand patio is where I want to spend every Spring and Autumn (DC summers are too hot)
- Best coffee place in northern Virginia. Try their caramel latte, it's delicious and a great pick-me up before and after work.
- Roasted butternut squash and feta muffin... wow. If you can nab one right from the oven- even more delicious!
- Meredith BMay 9, 2015Delicious range of choice, try the berry back tea. Nice atmosphere for working upstairs.
- Catarina SchallenbachAugust 29, 2015Ham & gruyere quiche is simply amazing! Combine it with a caramel latte and enjoy!!
- Have I ever mentioned the classic cappucino? The friendly staff? The cool seating? The delicious pasteries?
- Want an unpretentious place to hang out, drink good beer and wine, and sate your hunger with fresh, healthy dishes? You just found it!
- Ashley MillerMarch 1, 2015They serve counter culture coffee. Plenty of outlets for your laptop so a great place to work.
- Will always love this place. Sometimes too busy but coffee and food is always good.
- Maggie MacGNovember 19, 2022Just as good as the Falls Church location although parking is a little tricky.
- Max WagenblastFebruary 20, 2017Get the nuttella poptart! Lines are long, especially on nice days and early morning.
- Great coffee -- which makes it one of the more consistently crowded coffee shops in the area.
