- Alex RavenelJuly 29, 2017One of the most legit German-style beer gardens I've been to in the US. Sit at a picnic table under a tree, drink an excellent Pils or Hefe, and just chill. Love it.
- Dana DJanuary 6, 2015This Brewery is about the size of Germany! Gorgeous space with tons of room both indoor and outdoor, makes it ideal for gatherings and groups of any size. Grab a sampler and some solid German eats.Upvoted 1 day ago
- Creative Loafing CharlotteOctober 4, 2013Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (OMB) is Charlotte's oldest continuously operating microbrewery; it produces the full-flavored, smooth-talking Copper, a Düsseldorf-style altbier - an old-school German brew. Read moreUpvoted 21 hours ago
- Their beer is so awesome!!! The food is amazing. In the summer you can bring your dogs to hang with you. This is one of my favorite places here in Charlotte.
- Paula MadeiraOctober 1, 2017The tour is free and very informative, the beer is good, the food is good, and the whole atmosphere is very nice!! I highly recommend this place!
- Creative Loafing CharlotteNovember 14, 2014This isn’t just a space to feature its beers — it’s a shot to every other brewery in town: Step your taproom game up. This new space screams destination brewery. Read more
- Kari HessJune 7, 2018If you find a spot outside, you will forget you are in Charlotte and think you have been transported to a German biergarten; 5 minute walk from Scaleybark light rail station
- Chris MacmurdoNovember 3, 2016The beer is the best in Charlotte (if you like German brews). The food is great too. Especially the currywurst.
- Jen MartinJune 16, 2015Order the Radler, grab some sunscreen and soak up how awesome life is in their outdoor oasis of beer.
- Excellent beer!!! They have also expanded their food menu to include some very tasty food. The Italian panini was one of the best I have ever had!!
- Jay EaglesonJanuary 21, 2016We went here in the winter and the place was packed both inside and out. You can order food and beer outside and they have heaters scattered around. Lots of dogs too.
- Awesome spot and now has a full menu and offers wine. Get a tour of the basement, so cool!
- James WardSeptember 16, 2011Get yer growlers filled here cheaper than anywhere else. Tours are fun but no samples (only place I've ever been to with none) and no real deal on beer in tap room. Just come for the love of the beer.
- Spicy Italian Sausage @ Mecktoberfest coupled with an OMB Copper - these two were made for each other!
- The food was authentic German and exquisite! Beer was very good too! Awesome building and beer garden!
- WayneJune 22, 2017I need to make a trip back here since I arrived after the kitchen closed. The two types of beer that I had were very well made.
- The tap room is very cool and unmatched in Charlotte as of Fall 2014. And the outdoor seating rocks in nice weather.
- David HolmesMarch 7, 2015Besides the great beer, the wurste is awesome. Several different flavors to choose from. The atmosphere is fun.
- Austin BakerDecember 8, 2016Great atmosphere! Really good no frills German style beers. I have not had anything I did not like.
- Loved the beer garden, the beer was alright. German style and very light flavored.
- Love the vibe of this place. Tables are long, communal beer hall style. Great beers too!
- Steve PolandApril 13, 2017Great beer garden. Food great. Beers great. Kids able to hang out and play in the gravel.
- Alejandra 🌻February 10, 2016Very casual and great beer made in house! If you can get the tour, it's totally worth it.
- Todd RademacherJune 8, 2015Fantastic venue. Old school German beer garden with goid food, entertainment and great beer.
- Michael MorleySeptember 18, 2014Amazing German style brew house. Love the vibe and ability to mingle with new friends.
- Michele LusbyApril 29, 2016Biergarten is fabulous. Extremely family friendly. Good beer. Could use kids food outside.
- Captain Jack is good if you like a lighter beer or a pilsner. Great brats!
- Koll EllisSeptember 26, 2017A little disappointed with the style selection, basically just a standard lineup~pilsner, amber, stout, Oktoberfest, pale ale, etc. I prefer one-offs and experimental recipes.
- Awesome FRESH beer and a German style taproom. They have an Altbier and Helles then a rotating seasonal. And free tours on Saturday - 2, 3, and 4pm!
- GeorgeJungAugust 1, 2013The Dark Hefe Weizen is the best you can get in North Carolina. Maybe the best in Amerika.
- Mike ClarkSeptember 7, 2015If you're hungry, order as soon As you get there... It takes a while! But it's good though!!
- Ronald CrosierJuly 13, 2013Totally enjoyable experience. Love the launch of the new beer program. Great Ferman food in Charlotte.
- Brian PMay 18, 2019Brats, breadsticks & bier cheese were great. Beer is solid and the place is cool.
- Kris MynattMarch 4, 2017Good but not great beer but the vibe and atmosphere more than make up for any shortcomings on beer.
- Copper ale, the IPA and the brewery tour was interesting.
- John MacekNovember 4, 2012Great tour guide. Copper would be a go to beer for me if it were sold in Boston
