- Olivia PAugust 19, 2016This shop is iconic to Greenpoint. Honey glazed = all-time fave. Simple; out of this world! can't go wrong w/ any creme filled (especially coconut). Wish donuts came out early in the morning though!
- Jason SchafferJanuary 5, 2016You cannot get better donuts ANYWHERE. Peter Pan has the best donuts I have ever had. Their specialty are old school style, deep fried, glazed cake donuts.
- JenKuduSeptember 25, 2013Sometimes the donuts aren't ready until 10am.... 50 min later everything was set right in the world when I ate the honey donut. Also anything cream filled is A+. Also the BEST linzer cookie in NYC.
- Paige CApril 18, 2022Wow! The donuts here 🤩 I felt like I stepped into the 1950’s in this bakery, in a good way. Must come back to try more.
- Fabian MartinJanuary 29, 2023The classic sugar donut might be the best donut you’ll have in your life. Extremely soft and delicious

- Jennifer YuAugust 5, 2022So much to love about this staple, classic donut shop. Cash only. Pillowy soft donuts. Bavarian filled or apple pie donuts are my fav.
- Marc KatsambisOctober 26, 2019So cheap! 2 donuts and a drink for under $5. Lots of freshly made cake and yeast style rings of goodness to choose from. You can't go wrong! CASH ONLY.
- DJ COctober 18, 2021The best cake donuts you've ever had (and I don't usually like cake donuts). Yeast donuts are great too!
- DailyCandyFebruary 14, 2014New Yorkers are passionate about their donuts (second to bagels, of course). This fried-dough mecca in Greenpoint is no frills, offering classic fillings such as egg cream or strawberry jam.
- Although they are a donut place, there is definitely more to it: they actually have very tasty bagels 🥯 , both egg & cheese and lox & cream cheese were great!
- allisonMarch 18, 2016This adorable old-school Polish donut shop in Greenpoint has the best (and cheapest!) donuts in all of Brooklyn.
- I know the red velvet train left the station not too long ago—taking with it all the cupcake vending machines, froyo shops, and cronut lines—but the red velvet doughnut at Peter Pan is timeless.
- Brittany GalskeDecember 22, 2019okay best spot for donuts! cash only but every donut is $1! buttered bagels are $1.60!!
- Tommy KOctober 11, 2016I just called from London as we wanted to get delivery for our friend and the super helpful owner explained they only accepted cash and couldn't do delivery, but she was so nice!
- Sarah ChappelAugust 31, 2013Got a mixed dozen & ate them all. No regrets. They're all delicious & it's too hard to choose a favorite. Sour cream, wheat, white cream filled, coconut, chocolate volcano cream? How to choose?!
- The old-fashioned glazed donuts don't necessarily look like much, but when fresh, their taste and texture are revelatory. Arguably one of NYC's rare $1 must-have food items.
- Most doughnuts are $1. They bring the doughnuts out as they make them, so don't be surprised if you stop in to pick up a dozen at 9 a.m. and all they have are plain glazed. Best time is around noon.
- Hands down the best donut shop in the city. Every flavor is amazing and their breakfast sandwiches are the best in the neighborhood.
- Bagels are delicious, it's not just the donuts. The best spot in town for an everything bagel with nova (fresh as it comes) with scallion CC
- The best donut shop in the city. The sour cream and red velvet are my first choices (only $1.10 ea.). The unglazed crawlers are a fan favorite. Also home to an underrated bacon egg & cheese sandwich!

- Untapped CitiesJanuary 22, 2014Beloved Greenpoint stronghold, Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop, still serves old fashioned donuts at a vintage style lunch counter. Be sure to get there by 9! Read more
- Wild Bill MDecember 9, 2016What's good? ? Everything! ! Yes there was a line. But the staff is quick. Great prices. Fantastic. Wish I lived here to enjoy it everyday.
- Their reputation is well earned. I go for the nova bagel (fresh, delicious, and now with scallion cc) and I end up leaving with donuts too.
- Fresh baked donuts all day! If you don't know which to get, always go with the sugar, deliciously fluffy and perfectly sweet!
- SH LingJuly 6, 2017So light and fluffy! And $1.10 a pop! Not a fan of huge dense donuts, so these are the best in my book. I bought a box of 6 to share and I already demolished two.
- GothamistJune 6, 2012Eat a Peter Pan donut and you might not be able to stomach a confectionery atrocity at one of the Massachusetts-based, ice cream mutants ever again. Donuts are a dollar and bigger pastries a bit more.
- Lauren B.August 2, 2016Ask for the Red Velvet Volcano! It's a red velvet dough fried like an apple fritter with cream in the middle.
- Favorite doughnuts. Feels like a trip back to mid-century Brooklyn; quasi-old-timey and feels out of place to whip out the smart phone.
- Serious EatsNovember 20, 2013Classic old school doughnut shop with a devoted following. Old fashioned cake doughnuts are our favorites here.
- Nat HarwardDecember 21, 2013Doughnuts: "It was great before Tina Fey spilled the beans, and it’ll stay great as long as elderly Polish gentlemen need a place to sit around looking surly and drinking coffee." Read more
