    Be sure to check the food truck schedule. The vendors rotate between different sites. There's nothing like a meatball sandwich and a cupcake while at City Hall!

    Look on top of City Hall to see the 36-foot tall statue of William Penn by Alexander Milne Calder. Until 1986 there was a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ that no building would be taller than Penn’s hat.

    Largest and costliest city hall in the country when it was built (1871-1902). Still the largest masonry building in the world. A marvelous Second Empire building beloved by all Philadelphians.

    You can walk through the building without entering. Easy short cut through the block but still take a moment to appreciate all the architecture!
