Lovedddd this place. Went with a big group, so we ordered pretty much everything. The tofu dish, forgot what it's called, but get it! Delicious and great atmosphere!
What can I saw that hasn’t already been said. The Dan Dan Noodles are amazing. I love the beef roll. The cold apps are amazing. Oh! And great bev selection whether you drink or not!
AuthenticTaiwanese food! I'd highly recommend this place. It can get busy for parking but it's a great area to hang out especially during the weekends when there's outdoor farmers market.
Bc of COVID, we ordered takeout. Tasty: beef roll, shrimpwontons, and dumplings. Pass: dan dan noodles were soggy and sauceless. Three cup chicken, minced pork and wood ear mushrooms were average.
One of my favorite places in all of LA. For vegetarians - must have the Dan Dan Noodles, the scallion pancakes, the 5-spice bamboo and the potstickers. All delicious!
Highlights: porkminced bowl, spicywontons, dan dan noodles, beef noodle soup, and eastern beauty tea. Skip the mapo tofu and scallion pancakes. Long line and bad parking situation.
This Silverlake restaurant is incredibly affordable and approachable, with fast casual dishes ranging from $8-$14. Highlights are the beef roll, scallion pancake, and awesome Dan Dan noodles. Read more
I’m always skeptical about eating braised chicken at restaurants, but Pine & Crane’s three cup chicken is soft, tender, juicy AND flavorful. For appetizer, don’t forget to add the beef roll.
Beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, and mapo tofu are all flavorful and delicious. Panfried pork buns are disappointing. Great loose leaf tea selection!
Really enjoyed the Trumpet Mushrooms with the 3 cup rice. The mushrooms were earthy and meaty which paired with sweetness of the whole garlic cloves. The chili peppers added a hint of spice.
The service is fast-casual, which translates to unfussy food in a modest, minimalist setting. The spot-on Chinese options mean legit dan dan noodles and pork dumplings. Read more
Is this the best Taiwanese place in Los Angeles? Far from it but it is the best place anywhere here near the Silver Lake/Atwater/Echo Park/Los Feliz neighborhood.
Great ambience. Delicious beef roll. Spicywontons, Dan Dan noodles and 3 cup chicken were all passable but not the best. Do not order the boba - it's watered down and not very flavorful
It has a wait but expect nice staff and a lively atmosphere. I’d go again cause it was fun and good enough, but don’t expect to be impressed if you are used to these dishes in its native country.
The beef roll and the mapo tofu were great. The rest of our food was mediocre and slightly too expensive. But the friendly service makes this a place I'd return to.
