- Berk KapiciogluJune 10, 2016The sangria was the best sangria I ever drank in my life. Ceviche is a must, try the mixto. We ordered the Matador Combo and it easily fed 4 people. Service is excellent. Venue is a bit too loud.
- ZenFoodsterOctober 22, 2015Juiciest $9.50 lunch (M-F 11-4pm) & best rotisserie chicken in NYC: 1/4 (white or dark meat) chicken w/ avocado tomato salad, a soda, & side (rice & beans, tostones, or fries). Ask 4 green sauce!
- Joaquin PrimeAugust 11, 2014Great service and delicious, authentic food. App: Palta Rellena. Main: Arroz Chaufa, Camarones Cuzco or Lomo Saltado. Drink: Red Sangria, trust me! This location is a bit fancier than the others.
- Alvaro P.July 22, 2018Juanita's chicken was a 10! The place is open, well conditioned, and great for groups! Everything we ordered was delicious from the calamari to the papas. I left the place happy and full :-)
- CarolMarch 27, 2022Absolutely my favorite place for Peruvian chicken. Green sauce is to die for. They just do it right and this location is huge! Get the feast with everything
- Theresa RoldanOctober 1, 2014One of the best dinners. I had Sangria and the Cebiches special with Piononos for dessert. Everything was the the perfect portion and delicious, and the service was greattt!
- AprilSeptember 6, 2016First time trying Peruvian and it was AMAZING! Camarones cuzco (pictured) was soo delicious. Also, try the rotisserie chicken (sharable) with veggie sides and casava.
- This place is great! Delicious chicken - I had the shredded chicken with a Peruvian yellow sauce. Get the soft plantains as the side - they will rock your world. 👌🏻
- Lucy MariaJuly 20, 2019Very friendly service and great atmosphere, too. The chicken empanadas and arroz chaufa were absolutely delicious and desert was so good, too. Loved it here!
- Beatriz CastilloMarch 27, 2015Great restaurant! Juanita's chicken was delicious. I recommend getting the Matador Combo (3-4 can eat it). Cool decoration.
- JayDecember 3, 2016The ceviches here are too good! Mixto is great. But I have to say their paellas are one of the best ones that I've ever had. A definite order.
- Maggie WagnerApril 11, 2017Great !!!! The best !! You need to try this. The appetizers are huge!! The best thing is the chicken. Also I loved the paella. It's enormous and can be shared !! Try the famous pisco sours
- The Matador lunch combo is so worth it. Peruvian chicken (you can request white or dark meat) + salad + rice and beans + a beverage is the way to go. And their Peruvian Chinese fried rice is great too
- Che FranciscoMarch 1, 2016Casual Peruvian dining at its best. The grilled chicken was succulent and can make on its own. It will be a sacrilege to put any sauce on it! Yum!
- Sam SNovember 28, 2015Delicious food. I've had a bunch of Peruvian food and this is among the best. The appetizer sampler is a good selection to try as much as possible, if it's your first time.
- Wendy SungApril 30, 2016Succulent, fall-off-the-bone rotisserie roasted chicken is what they're known for, but their Japanese fusion-style cebiche "Nikkei" was surprisingly yummy!
- mayDecember 16, 2014this place is surprisingly big compared to the other locations. try to reserve for dinner because it gets busy! and green sauce is the way of life here. always, always dip it in for EVERYTHING.
- safia rSeptember 6, 2016Their avocado starter as well as the beef heart skewers were great, and for the main course the fillet mignon was awesome.
- Harlem’s HungryMarch 13, 2016Sangria was good. My original got served in a dirty pitcher. The calamari was crispy and delicious. The verse sauce went well with that spicy mayo.#eatpiopio
- Kathi MatApril 1, 2014Matador Combo... te mata! The chicken is awesome. Tender & juicy. My kids devoured it, we loved it. Cebiche was delish either. Great Peruvian wine, Dulce de Leche to finish. Great night! !!
- Torzin SMay 22, 2015Juanita's Chicken is to die for. Nice place to sample Peruvian food. service is also good. And the Pisco sour is just so food.
- Best Peruvian in NYC. Novo andino dishes like goat-cheese qinotto and inventive sushi criollo; superb pisco cocktails; and fantastic down-home favorites like arroz chifa and pollo a la brasa.
- Meshi DavisMarch 28, 2014The food is fabulous! It's been a few years since I dined there, but I truly hope the wait time to be seated has improved. Bring your friends, bring your lady or beau... It's worth the experience.
- AyinMay 25, 2016Omg!!! The food here is so good! The garlic sauce that comes with the tostones is out of this world! I would definitely recommend this place. I'll be back!!!
- Ben FortneyMarch 8, 2017Do it. I bring out-of-towners here to give them some authenticity in the middle of midtown. Chicken can't be beat, some yucca, some green sauce, you're all set.
- M. B.April 21, 2018We ordered a lot. And everything tasted great! You can also find the Chicha morada & Inca cola
- One of my favorite places for large groups. The chicken is amazing and you can take bets on how many times you'll hear the birthday song in a given evening.
- Michael DFebruary 28, 2013Just had my birthday dinner there...yes get the matador combo and eat to your hearts content. Love the atmosphere and the drinks. Also a great place to go for b-day celebrations, feb 27 was hoppin

- Madelyne DolandolanApril 5, 2010Get the Peruvian Combo. Good for two people. (And cheap for the amount!) Best rotisserie chicken you will ever eat. Yes. It's THAT good. And to drink? Try the Inca Kola. They have other locations too!
- Ritwik DeyAugust 9, 2012Vegetarians might not find much on the menu, but it helps to ask the server. They're usually pretty accommodating and will make you something nice.
- Marian ElbertOctober 8, 2012You can share the matador combo with 4 people. Get an appetizer on the side, like cerviche or calamari and you're in pio pio heaven. P.S. Get a pitcher of Sangria.
- Andres NovoaNovember 17, 2015Check out their lunch special! $9.50 for a quarter chicken (you choose light or dark meat), a salad, your choice of a side and a soda.

- Mark N.May 21, 2011I use 4sq to find good food and this place was fantastic. Jalea? Was super. Arroz chufa was great too. We live in jersey but visit fairly regularly and this was best meal in city in recent memory.
- Too many good things to pick from, but the Camarones Cusco (shrimp) is amazing. Tuna Tartare is a must get. I always end with tres leches cake.
- DavApril 5, 2015Honestly the best chicken I've ever had. Super juicy and yummy! And the green sauce is now my obsession. Can't wait to go back!
- What's Good HereJuly 30, 2015The lunch special is a good value - Quarter Mama Juanita's Rotisserie Chicken with Fried Yucca and Avocado Salad
- Best place for big groups. Order a few main dishes, the lomo saltado and pio chicken are excellent, and share! Everyone seems to be celebrating their birthday...
- Ibrahim GünOctober 27, 2016Share share share... main dishes are very big, if you are planning to have starter share a maim dish. And yes its awsome😋😋😋
- Melissa CarrNovember 7, 2017Perfect Peruvian Kiss cocktail and ceviche is huge portion, couldn't eat it all as my meal!
- D SicFebruary 7, 2016The traditional Peruvian dishes are all very well done. Try the ceviche, anticuchos, Peruvian chicken, and/or the arroz con mariscos
- Erdem UenAugust 30, 2017That green sauce is just amazing! Portions are big! Only downside, it's too noisy downstairs.
- Kathryn MottramOctober 20, 2016These pisco sours are incredible. Ordered the matador combo for the second time, so good! And plenty of food for three at least.
