- GiselleFebruary 15, 2016I ordered the chupe de camarones and it was outstanding. I am Peruvian so I was really pleased with the authenticity of the meal. My husband ordered the lomo saltado and the beef was tender and juicy.
- Joaquin PrimeAugust 11, 2014Great service & delicious, authentic food. App: Palta Rellena. Main: Arroz Chaufa, Camarones Cuzco or Lomo Saltado. Drink: Red Sangria, trust me! This location is a bit more laid back than downtown's.
- Sarah KimDecember 20, 2019Actually great Peruvian food. Authentic. Great for big groups as the dishes are generously proportioned. Good for sharing family-style
- Fenja von RockenthienSeptember 14, 2015My favorite restaurant in NYC until now! The ceviche and the coupe are incredible. Everyone who loves Peruvian food as to go there.
- Social News NetworkSeptember 10, 2013When I am in New York, I visit this place multiple times - every time. The bartender made me an amazing Mango Margarita (and, of course, the Sangria is a must have!).
- Doug BeaversMay 19, 2013Order "El Matador" - incredible quantity of delicious Peruvian cuisine. My g/f is Peruvian so she knows what's up. Gotta do it. And slather your chicken in the tostones sauce. Vaya!

- Sameepa ShettyJuly 5, 2015Huge portions. Must order chicken & share. The plantains are a must too. Great for group parties & celebrations. Big space. Get the private area down at the very back.
- Peter IkladiousJune 12, 2016The chicken! Matador combo is a winner. Pisco sour great too. Winner winner all round. Great with kids too and groups
- Sangria is always on point best I've ever had. The matador combo is the best. Three to four can eat from there.
- Portions are huge. If your party is 3 or more, get a number of entrees equal to about 2/3 of your party size and do family style, unless you want to carry doggie bags home.
- Great food, excellent service! I don't know what's in that green sauce but I could drink it through a straw! Oh & the sangria is good too!
- Jonathan OatisJune 27, 2013The picante de camerones is fantastic. Spicy and good. Love the quinoa cake stuffed with spinach and goat cheese that comes with it.
- julie sempleDecember 28, 2012Love Pio Pio Been to everyone and the food is consistently the same ..........Ahhh-mazing !!! My fave space is UWS large open windows
- Matador combo is an INSANE value. Get copious amounts of the green sauce
- Kathiria EstevezJanuary 4, 2012I had an awesome experience at Pio Pio. The green sauce is so addicting and definitely makes the chicken. The yuca fries and avocado salad is a must!
- L. T.December 25, 2015Lovely, beautiful, flavorful food. The fish dishes are delicious but I could've had the yucca ALL DAY.
- Ellie ManduriaoMarch 17, 2013Gotta get the chicken! Calamari frito is so good, and the arroz con mariscos is superb! Love their sweet plantain as well...
- Whole chicken is delicious. Bathe it in green sauce and order a pitcher of sangria, and you'll be happy.
- EM!February 5, 2015Portions are amazing. But for this specific location, I would suggest coming with a group since there aren't that many corners for a dinner two privacy.
- Ben SiekmeierMarch 2, 2016Rotisserie chicken, green salsa, beans and rice, platanos and sangria! Order take out!
- Challon PerryOctober 13, 2021Matador combo is the way to go for a family meal. Sangria is pretty good too.
- KarenNovember 23, 2022Cannot go wrong with any of the food here. The salchipapas seems so simple, but it's a favorite!
- G DaniellDecember 14, 2014Never really had real Peruvian food but it taste like there's a lack of seasoning in their chow fun rice, their rotisserie chicken seems to be a favorite
- #FabuLIST whole chicken, French fries, and avocado salad. The green sauce is amazing but a little spicy.
- Eugene AbreuMay 13, 2010They don't call this place pio pio for nothing, their chicken is slammin! if you're drinking - try the Inca Martini, it's tasty and 3 of those would have you over-tipping your bartender! cool lil spot Read more

- AmyJuly 22, 2013Go during 12 pm to 4 pm for their $10 chicken lunch special. Ask for the lunch menu.

- Salchipapas-a very filling side of hot dog like sausages and french fries
- Green sauce. All over everything. And if you run out, ask for more.
- If you've got 4 friends and 2 hours, get the matador meal! A little bit of everything and delicious.
- Worst experience at this place. Rice was over cooked. We were not asked if we needed more drinks. We order the chicken rotisserie which came with no fries or salad. Apparently they aren't included.
- Piper FlusserSeptember 8, 2010The green sauce makes the chicken. Really great value for an amazing meal. Avocado salad is delicious too
