I love piroshkis! Beef and cheese with a side of mustard. Heard the sweet ones are good too but I've never strayed from the traditional beef. Wish they had these in Portland too. Get a box to share.

The line was too long, eventually got it almost before closing when there were less people. Amazing, delicious, huge portions. Try one with the beef filling, and mascarpone. Soooo good!

Cheddar garlic is best; tastes great when you buy it or hours later. Skip apple cranberry unless you want canned pie filling taste. Weekend visits are like Seinfeld soup nazi experience.

Great bakery inside the market for both visitors and natives. The salmon roll is tasty when it is still warm. I always buy five for breakfast of a whole week and do this and Nouveau every other week.

Everything! All of the baked goods, some savory, some sweet. I opted for the chocolate hazelnut creme.

Line moves quickly, don’t be dissuaded. Even though savory seems to be the name of the game, sweets were too good to pass up.

Had the jalapeño cheddar cheese sausage and it was SO good. The breading was definitely the best part. Of all of the pastries we got, we agreed the best part was the breading on each.

Get the spinach and ham! Come early or else all the good ones are gone. Line moves fast.

Probably the best piroshkies outside NYC & E. Europe. So many Russian bakeries in San Francisco, none comes close to the quality offered by this Seattle institution. A+++

There was a bit of a line when we got there at 9am but it went quickly. Salmon pate and chicken, rice, mushroom were both excellent and come highly recommended!

I got garlic&cheese pie which is good, but kind a chocolate pie was not as much as I think. The smell is very welcoming while passing by. So try the taste. Get yours and take a seat on public market

You can smell the Russian pastries right there... just go inside and pick what you like (obviously get a Piroshky), but if you're craving sweet, gotta go with the Apple Cinnamon Roll.

Be prepared to wait in a very long line! Don't worry though, the line moves pretty quickly. Love the apple and chocolate pastries.

Every pastry here is delicious. Love the salmon, meat, and garlic/cheese. Chocolate is good too. Worth the wait for a snack.

Food blogger Christie of Pepper Lynn recommends Piroshky Piroshky. "This family-owned Russian bakery has been serving a variety of sweet and savory pastries to Seattle locals & tourists since 1992."

Pike Place hole-in-the-wall with over two dozen piroshky, Russian pastries with sweet or savory fillings. Try the Seattle-appropriate smoked salmon and cream cheese version.

Tell the cute short haired red head that she is doing a great job. She smiles even brighter and I swear the food taste better. Plus she is my good friend. She needs a smile or two. ^_^

The dough is ok. The ingredients are bad. The one with apple had a strong moldy aftertaste. The one with cherries had pieces of cabbage.

Flaky, fatty, and greasy. Beef and onion piroshky is good. Coffee cinnamon roll piroshky is not very sweet and just ok and quite forgettable. Go early because they run out of some varieties.

Not really sure what the hype for this place is, but if you were to line up for these piroshkys (filled buns/pastries), go for the beef and cheese one! Makes for a satisfying savory snack.
