- Jon B.August 8, 2018Excellent Chicago style deep dish pizza. Nice balance between cheese (not too much), sauce (good flavor), crust (crispy corn meal goodness), and toppings (sausage was excellent).
- The Daily MealSeptember 6, 2012Rudy's Special is a monstrous concoction, topped with cheese, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers, takes up to 30 minutes to cook all the way through. Request in advance! Read moreUpvoted Sep 22
- K WagnerOctober 6, 2017It's not just the food it's the experience. The manager John is great & will greet you in a way that is only found in Chi-Town. We were served by the warm and personable Eshe. And yes the pizza 🙌🏼!
- SSeptember 24, 2013The staff was wonderful, friendly and very good even when packed. Fried ravioli was great, loved the marinara ¬ usually a fan. The thin crust pizza was where it's at, better than their deep dish.
- Diana AbAugust 30, 2015The individual deep dish pizza was more than enough food. It was awesome, although you have to take into account that it takes 30 minutes to make (it's worth it nom nom nom).
- Chicago magazineMay 8, 2012Rudy Malnati Jr. and his mother—who still makes every ball of dough—carry on the tradition of Chicago-style pizza in this festive Gold Coast spot. The buttery deep-dish remains among Chicago’s best. Read more
- Rigo BanuelosSeptember 18, 2017I really like their thin crust. The crust has a buttery crunch to it and the sausage is great.
- Stephanie CianchettiFebruary 6, 2016Amazing deep dish pizza! So so good! This will be added to our pizza night rotation. The toasted raviolis are very good, too.
- Daniel LeySeptember 19, 2018Friendly and welcoming staff and great food! Oh and the vodkas are pretty strong too... so we found out! A must visit.
- Brad ThiesJune 23, 2017Lines were out the door at the "other" high ranked pizza joint. Walked right in for a table, a great craft beer, and wow-what a pie!
- Diana FriessJune 20, 2019Looking for thin crust pizza & you don't want to venture out into the neighborhoods? Then this is your place. Pizza here is almost like a thin crust Detroit pie, but round & tastier. Sorry, Detroit.
- Tobias ReiperAugust 22, 2015If you're in the area and want a great deepdish pizza then look no further but it will take 30 to 40 mins to make!!
- Best thin crust pizza in Chicago. (It's the crunchy, buttery, pastry-like crust.) Place your order w/the host while waiting for your table.
- Lisa GrimmDecember 30, 2013The chopped salad as an entree, or to share. Best chopped I've ever had. Hands down. Also, the Rudy's special. Dynamite!
- Dieter KieselDecember 11, 2018Looking for thin crust & you don't want to venture into the neighborhoods? Then this is your place. Pizza here is almost like a thin crust Detroit pie, but round & tastier. Sorry, Detroit.
- Love this place, great pizza, pasta, cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Sit at the bar.
- Best thin crust pizza anywhere. Can't visit Chicago without stopping. Call ahead for quicker pizza
- Amanda AldrichFebruary 5, 2012I'm not normally a fan of deep dish, but WOW! Try the Rudy's Special. The mozzarella and sausage are magically delicious.
- Forget Giordano's or any other "authentic Chicago" pizza place. Pizano's is the best. Hands down.
- Best thin-crust pizza in the city. Buttery, crispy, crunchy, flaky, and delicious.
- Michael CsikiSeptember 2, 2011What can I say? It's hot, it's fresh, it's served in a downtown bar atmosphere and it's on State Street! It's awesome!
- Peri KaneApril 6, 201230-40 minute wait per pizza, but so worth it. Their thin crust definitely worth the reputation.
- Great thin crust piled high with extra toppings! Hands down my favorite
- Jennifer StraubAugust 3, 2012I really wanted to like this place, but the pasta wasn't satisfying. I also didn't enjoy the "cafeteria-style" ordering system. I've heard good things about the pizza, so perhaps I should try again.
- Christi StagnoMay 6, 2017The counter guy at Pizanos just yelled "F you" at me three times! Accused me of "throwing" the bill at him. No, I did not throw the bill at him, he was apparently having a bad day.
