Down the street from the Wythe Hotel, in the booming northwest corner of Williamsburg, the Matcha Bar offers a full slate of coffee drinks using Toby's Estate in addition to their matcha menu. (9/14)

Friendly, quiet neighborhood spot with attractive design, using rotating coffee roasters, currently one we're not familiar with, Deeper Roots, out of Cincinnati. Good place to read or work. (8/14)

The coyly named OK Cafe is a full on Counter Culture shop in the new Ditmas Blvd coffee power corridor. We love the bright green custom La Marzocco. Pretty good preparation. Friendly staff. (8/14)

Located on a sleepy East Village side street, City of Saints roasts their own in Greenpoint, pulling good triple shots and serving their espresso in a cappuccino cup. (6/14)
Located in the lobby of a sterile, depressing Midtown office building, Hole in the Wall lives up to its name. Coffee wasn't great on our one visit, but probably a great resource for locals. (6/14)
Located inside an Urban Outfitters shop on busy Herald Square, this flagship Intelligentsia branch offers sandwiches and other food in addition to coffee. (6/14)
Around since 2007, the museum moved to a new Gowanus space in 2014. An in-house cafe is a good idea but unfortunately the Toby's Estate Coffee is not well prepared enough to be a big draw. (6/14)

It's hard to understand why Espresso 77 took over the late, beautiful De Luxe Coffee and turned it into a dull version of its Queens shop. They serve Gimme! Coffee & have a large food menu. (5/14)
They're serious about coffee at Kinship Coffee Cooperative and prepare their espresso well: Stumptown Hairbender house blend and Ceremony, currently a Kenya, as single origin. Wifi, nice design (5/14)
A great resource for a severely underserved neighborhood, Manhattanville serves tolerably prepared Intelligentsia Coffee. It's a good place to work, read, or meet friends. (5/14)
In a part of Bed Stuy bereft of any shops, much less coffee shops, the barebones Rabbit Moon serves up well-prepared Plowshares Coffee. Curiously no espresso on the menu, only espresso drinks. (5/14)
