Vegans should feel welcome here. Kudos for the white bean puree that comes with the bread basket instead of butter. Go for the side plates: “Ancient grain," Beluga lentils, and Carrot soup. Read more

Here, burrata is given a healthy(-ish) treatment that perfectly suits the neighborhood’s crunchy reputation: The cheese comes atop farro tossed with celery, lemon and basil. Read more

One of the better places in Takoma Park. Amazing seafood and a most wine selection. Beautiful patio. Ask for the bread of the day.

Fluke Flounder with cauliflower purée was delicious and prepared perfectly. Crispy Brussels Sprouts is a must try; and the Black Orchard apple pie was a great note to end the meal.

Great oysters and wine list. The service was a little lax though and the waitress didn't pay very good attention to the guests.

The Lamb and Spinach Empanadas were the juiciest, meatiest, tastiest I've ever had. This was my 1st time eating lamb. This gives me hope!

Just the coolest part of Takoma Park. Republic is the kind of quality dining establishment you'd expect in this summer suburban hipster paradise

The gulf shrimp sliders were delish. I only wished the bread was fresher (or crispier).

If you're vegan ask for a vegan combination from the chef. He'll make an awesome mix.

Chicken sandwich was good. I asked for Cesar dressing on my salad, got a vinegarette and a small cup of coffee was $4.50. Wasn't offered a refill. Not sure I'll be back

The burger was well done when I ordered it medium rare, oysters in po-boy were dry and rubber-like, Bloody Merry had too much pepper and awful tomato juice.
