Robyn Harman: Great live music happens nightly for dinner. The "Italchos" sound odd but are amazing appetizers. Try the Osso Bucco if you're hungry - it's fantastic. The rooftop patio is perfect setting for drinks.

Robyn Harman: All the upscale shopping you could ever want! Great for window shopping, the latest fashion trend or just grabbing lunch. Nordstrom is a must-visit store, and lunch at Bread Winners won't disappoint.

Robyn Harman: If you want to feel hip, go here. On a sunny day, browse the boutiques for something unique, or dine at one of the greats - Cru, Mi Cocina - before catching a movie at the Magnolia.

Robyn Harman: It's 9.3 miles around - great if you're a distance runner or cyclist. There's a great dog park attached. And just over Mockingbird, there's a kayaking & SUP rental stand that sets up most days.

Robyn Harman: Love the Tory Burch store here. It's the go-to place for high-end fashion boutiques and brand names.Bistro 31 is great for a lunch with friends or colleagues.

Robyn Harman: The theaters are full of couches! Get comfy just like you would at home, complete with a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail.

Robyn Harman: Reservations are a must here, but the food is a unique experience. Get the hot rock to start. Go with an open mind to try new things, but don't go there if you're starving or craving an 18-oz steak.

Robyn Harman: If you love wine, you will love this place. $6 glasses of wine during happy hour during weekdays till 7pm - and all the wine is great. The photography in the restrooms is artistic yet risque.

Robyn Harman: Bring your own bottle of wine and enjoy the local cuisine that's unique. You may have the owner, Mitch, stop by and ask how you're liking everything. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Robyn Harman: Can't go wrong with anything here, but since it's Texas and it's a steakhouse - get the steak. Great date place for dinner or for drinks with coworkers.

Robyn Harman: Simon himself is nearly always behind the sushi counter greeting every guest that arrives by shouting across the small restaurant. BYOB. Ask for the special sushi roll menu, and try the BTS roll.

Robyn Harman: This place isn't fancy, but the pho is the best I've found in Dallas. I like call ahead and pick it up to-go. Their filet pho is quality and fresh.

Robyn Harman: It's good to know where the closest Apple store is when traveling, because you never know when you're going to need another charger. This location is busy but efficient in getting folks in and out.

Robyn Harman: Families will small children, this is your place. They have a sand lot where kids can play. Every so often during hot months, a big sprinkler goes off and suprises the kiddos. Food is good too.

Robyn Harman: This place is my latest fave in Dallas! They have one AMAZING patio right off a hiking/biking trail. There are so many dining areas that feel as if you're in a friend's living/dining room. Food rocks.

Robyn Harman: Both adults and kids love this place! Get your tickets online ahead of time, where you can select your entry time. Great little downtown activity, where you can walk to a lunch spot after exploring.

Robyn Harman: This is THE place to get Greek food in the Dallas area. Great for lunch or dinner. The Moussaka is on point.

Robyn Harman: This little hidden gem has fantastic, authentic German food. I've never had anything bad here. Check out their website for special events and live music times.

Robyn Harman: Jimmy's is a Dallas staple. It's a little hole-in-the-wall Italian grocery shop, where you can grab a yummy sandwich for lunch or pick up a bottle of wine.

Robyn Harman: This is a local family-owned spot that's great for lunch. Nothing fancy here, but the food is perfect Thai. They also have boba teas, if you're into that.

Robyn Harman: Want to feel like you're in a southern grandmother's home? Eat here. It's a casual fried chicken dinner served family style. The creamed corn is addictive. Come hungry. Plan a nap afterward.

Robyn Harman: Great spot for lunch or dinner with colleagues or friends, so don't let the strip-mall location fool you. The popovers to start are amazing. It's a good idea to make a reservation, but not a must.

Robyn Harman: The patio has an amazing ambience overlooking a golf course. Great for lunch or dinner. Get the queso mesero to start - after all...you're in Texas and queso is its own food group here.

Robyn Harman: All flavors are good; they rotate seasonal flavors too. My personal favorite lately is the gluten-free blueberry lemon (you would never know it's gluten-free). They've added cookies and brownies too.

Robyn Harman: This place is so unique, serving savory and sweet souffles. It sounds weird, but get the marshmallow soup. Amazing cheese cart goes around. You can buy pretty much every piece of decor in this place.

Robyn Harman: Come early for brunch or plan on a wait. This is a great spot for brunch with friends to have a mimosa or two in Uptown. Portions are hefty, so try not to fill up on the delish starter breads.

Robyn Harman: This is the spot to be seen in Downtown. If you aren't staying at the hotel, you should expect a bit of a wait to get in. It's a rooftop bar with a fabulous view of the city while enjoying a drink.

Robyn Harman: CHEESY GRITS! The best I've ever had. They have eggs and biscuits every which way you can think of. I would eat brunch here every weekend if I could.

Robyn Harman: Perfect spot in the city for a run or walking your dog. It's about 6 or 7 miles if you go out and back. You can stop at the Katy Trail Icehouse for a bite to eat or cold beverage during your trek.

Robyn Harman: This is my go-to brunch spot in Dallas with a nice patio. They have good gluten-free options. Dinner is also amazing. Risotto, pizza, eggs, pasta - you can't go wrong with any of it here.

Robyn Harman: Avocado fries?! Yes, please. Splurge and get an awesome cut of meat, after viewing the meat locker. Get the bacon tasting. This place represents Texas well - steak, steak, bacon and steak!

Robyn Harman: Their cocktails are on point. If you like oysters, you'll definitly want to try an array of oysters they have available. Lively atmosphere that has fancy food without the stuffy environment.

Robyn Harman: Great bar with a cool vibe. Tons of unique beers on tap. Great place for brunch. Order something that has gravy with it.

Robyn Harman: This is a scene. It has great sushi and japanese dishes. Try the hot rock. Or just enjoy a cocktail in the lounge. A long-time Dallas staple for sure.

Robyn Harman: Authentic Mexico City cuisine with a fun vibe. Their margaritas won't disappoint, and they have a cigar bar if you're into that! Only place I've seen that serves butter with their chips and salsa. :)

Robyn Harman: This place is a local chain that serves consistent QUALITY tex-mex with a fun atomosphere. Two words: Mambo Taxi. They'll only serve you two. Get something with the Sunset Sauce.

Robyn Harman: Great spot for a date night or for the wine lover. Their flights are a perfect way to try several options before ordering a full glass. Love champagne? Then go there Thursdays for 50% off bottles.

Robyn Harman: You should definitely try the blue cheese potato chips! This is a great upscale place for a client dinner or date night. Everything I've had here is superb.

Robyn Harman: If you're looking for a casual place for sushi and/or hibachi, go here. The food is consistently great. I love going for lunch, but don't expect it to be quick.

Robyn Harman: Often referred to as "the ball" in Dallas' skyline, this place is a must-do on your first trip to Dallas. There's a restaurant and bar that rotates at the top, so you get 360-degree views of the city

Robyn Harman: A hole-in-the-wall type place that's BYOB and serves the best casual Thai food in dallas. The atmosphere is nothing special, so I like to pick it up to-go. Locals love this spot.

Robyn Harman: Chandeliers, trophies, roses, classic cars and a yellow submarine. The local owner has put so much thought into the ambience and menu. Can't get a reservation? Arrive early & grab a seat at the bar.

Robyn Harman: Fine dining steakhouse on the 27th floor with fabulous views of Dallas. Can't go wrong with the filet or elk. Be prepared to splurge.

Robyn Harman: My absolute favorite coffee shop in Dallas. There are two locations, but this one is my preferred. Try the iced cold brew. Grab your laptop and get some work done upstairs in the loft area.

Robyn Harman: This spot is perfect for a family lunch. They've got a playground for the kiddos while the adults enjoy a burger on the patio. $1 beer & wine on Thursdays. 1/2 price burgers on Tuesday family nights.

Robyn Harman: Hole-in-the-wall. Looks like your great-grandmother's house. BUT the southern cooking is spot on. I like the chicken-fried steak or the veggie plate. Save room for pie. There's a playroom for kiddos.

Robyn Harman: Two words: lobster shooters. You must try them. This place is pricey fine dining and perfect for a date night or special occasion. A true Dallas staple.

Robyn Harman: Maybe THE best BBQ in Dallas. Go early right when they open to get lunch before the line starts. Closed on Mondays. Try the hot mess, then take a nap.

Robyn Harman: A Dallas staple for a delicious Texas steak. Great for dinner with colleagues or a special occasion. It has always made me laugh that they serve a single carrot, but that's their signature move!

Robyn Harman: Great tex-mex on the water and with a view! Enjoy a margarita and get a spot on the patio if the weather is nice.

Robyn Harman: When I moved to Dallas 15 years ago, this was my first sushi love. And it still is to this day. The ahi tower is a perfect appetizer. Try the tamago. The vibe is great even to have a drink at the bar.

Robyn Harman: Black bean dip. You can make a meal out of the black bean dip and salsa they serve with chips for free. Margaritas are on point. Salsa dancing starts at 10pm on Fri & Sat nights - dress to impress.

Robyn Harman: Locals love this little Latin gem. I could eat here any time of the day and for any reason, but daytime is my fave. I get the Zaguan sampler and fresh-squeezed juice. You won't be disappointed here.

Robyn Harman: Local New York-style diner. Atmosphere is nothing fancy, but the food is fabulous, and locals love this spot. I like it for breakfast and lunch. The menu is huge.

Robyn Harman: One of my favorites for Indian food. Great for lunch or a nice dinner out. They have vegetarian and meat options. Located near bars and shopping, so you can make an evening in this area.

Robyn Harman: Cash only. Go for a run or bike ride around White Rock Lake, then pop into this hole-in-the-wall diner for some breakfast or lunch. Enjoy the beer biscuits, and don't expect anything fancy.

Robyn Harman: Free admission. But plan to pay for parking. Walk across the street afterward to grab lunch at a food truck and hang at Klyde Warren Park.

Robyn Harman: I love every season at this place - always something going on at the Arboretum. They allow outside food & drinks, so make a picnic of it. Check out details for Cool Thursdays or the children's area.

Robyn Harman: Kids and adults alike will love this aquarium. You feel like you're in a jungle the entire time. Look for the sloth just hanging out in an open tree near the snack stand. :)

Robyn Harman: This place is great for dinner with friends or date night. Make sure to get a reservation. I recommend the shishito peppers and miso cod. Atmosphere is superb.

Robyn Harman: Open till 4am on the weekends, so perfect spot for late night tacos after being at the bar. Tacos are unique and tasty!

Robyn Harman: Locals love this spot for great local wine. They allow you to bring in food from a few places, because they don't serve much beyond appetizers. Great patio.

Robyn Harman: This is a little local hole-in-the-wall that has humble decor but great food. I suggest the meatball pizza with sauteed onions. Try not to eat too many garlic rolls to start, because they are delish.

Robyn Harman: Food is great, but the patio is better! Check out the Dallas Arboretum or White Rock Lake, then grab some bbq lunch on the patio at this spot.

Robyn Harman: Great comics come through town into this spot. Don't sit in the first few rows unless you don't mind getting heckled. There's a 2 item minimum order. Purchase tickets in advance online.

Robyn Harman: Lively spot with great food and great service. It can get loud in the restaurant, so you've been warned. I suggest dinner here then a movie at the Inwood Theather after.

Robyn Harman: Beer, beer, and more beers. Inside an old house. Look for the dart boards to get a game in while you're there.

Robyn Harman: Best sushi in Deep Ellum. This spot is laid back but still cool. Try the quail egg shooters.

Robyn Harman: Cool local spot on Greenville. It's mostly an open-air patio spot with live music. They rotate 3-4 food trucks to choose from, but their philly cheesestake is pretty on point too.

Robyn Harman: One of my fave places in Dallas because of the laid back vibe with exquisite cuisine. In an old house in the uptown area, great for a date night. Get the orange and carrot tapas - unique and fresh.

Robyn Harman: Nordstrom Rack is one of my go-to shops in this area. Grab some lunch at Grimaldi's if you need a break from shopping.

Robyn Harman: I love this area because there are plenty of shopping and dining options. I personally love Francesca's and Kendra Scott. Jasper's or Samui are my go-to dining spots.

Robyn Harman: Bowling + Food + Drinks = Fun Night Out. This place is geared toward an adult date night or night out with friends. 18 & up after 7pm. Reservations highly recommended.

Robyn Harman: 3 floors of shopping, so you could spend the entire day here. There's a fun little play area for kids on the 3rd floor (~5 and under). And the ice skating rink is a fun family activity.

Robyn Harman: This area makes you feel cool and hip. Several local boutiques to peruse and plenty of dining options, including a pie shop. Yes, pie.

Robyn Harman: Make reservations. This place a perfect for a date night. The bar is small, so don't expect to show up and hang at the bar for a drink. Get the fried green tomatoes.

Robyn Harman: Brilliant breakfast and brunch spot. So many coffee options. Gluten-free options. But you might as well do the fried chicken and waffles.

Robyn Harman: The outdoor area at this place is inspiring. Buy tickets online. OR check out the free events on their website, such as 'Til Midnight at the Nasher where you can get a picnic and enjoy entertainment.

Robyn Harman: Dallas fine-dining staple where you might run into a celebrity or two. Amazing wine list. Expect to drop some money on this well-worth-it steak dinner.

Robyn Harman: Dallas locals may not go here often, but if you're visiting Dallas, this is a great place to see. There's a whole exhibit about 9/11 and a replica of the Oval Office during Bush's presidency.

Robyn Harman: I can't believe this place exists. Straight cookie dough scooped up and served like ice cream. It's super rich, so opt for the small size.

Robyn Harman: They have some typical and some funky flavors, like avocado. Perfect for a hot summer day (which is most days) in Texas. Adults will feel like a kid again.

Robyn Harman: Dark chocolate at its finest and funkiest. They will let you sample EVERYTHING. I like the Albatross Fudge - it's made with blue cheese!

Robyn Harman: Our go-to spot for (good) dinner and a movie all in one spot. Small kids aren't allowed at most showings. Make sure to turn off the ringer on your phone...or...you'll see.

Robyn Harman: Have brunch, lunch or dinner at this place - you can't go wrong with any of it. It's perfect for nearly any occasion. Reservations recommended. I suggest trying the deviled eggs.
