Rory C: The best place to buy fresh fish in London. The selection is unequaled and the prices brilliant. You do have to get there before 6am though. The "greasy spoon" does bacon and scallop rolls, wow.
127 Westbourne Park Rd, Greater London, Greater London
American Restaurant · Westbourne · 40 tips and reviews
Rory C: $5 dollar shakes - with Jack Daniel's if you ask for it, pretty fine burgers and blow your head off chilli. Best feature though is the decor which is a fun Americana (but not Ed's).
39-41 Greenwich Church St (Creek Rd), London, Greater London
Chinese Restaurant · Greenwich West · 43 tips and reviews
Rory C: Many won't agree, but I reckon this is one of the best restaurants in London. Best deal is the huge plate of Ho Fun noodles for about £7. Sociable beer hall type seating and super grumpy staff. Enjoy!
Turkish Restaurant · St. Johns · 15 tips and reviews
Rory C: Haven't been here yet but the Evening Standard voted it one of the best in London. Proper kebabs and white table clothes seems to sum it up pretty well. Will update when we've been.
171 Farringdon Rd. (Roseberry Ave), Farringdon, Greater London
Eastern European Restaurant · 24 tips and reviews
Rory C: Haven't been here either. However the Evening Standard gave it good reviews and it looks great if you're on a budget. Plus, plenty of nice pubs in the area for pre/post-drinks.
Victoria Embankment, Temple, London, Greater London
Pub · Westminster · 67 tips and reviews
Rory C: This is a pub, on a boat! It hasn't got the best bar in London by any stretch, but it is an enjoyable experience. Downstairs they have huge windows which mean you can look over the Thames in the warm.
188 Euston Rd (at East Lodge), Euston, Greater London
Pub · 35 tips and reviews
Rory C: Perhaps not the "funnest" place in London, but a wicked selection of English ciders at very cheap prices in a unique and tiny establishment. Usually less crowded than the Euston Tap across the road.
