This is Jewish brunch heaven. Just get there early if you don't want a long wait. Super Hebster -- whitefish salad, salmon, wasabi infused roe on bagel toast -- and the Lower Sunny Side (pictured).

Make an ideal platter for two with two classic spreads, but ask for the pastrami lox and the (deliciously fatty) Scottish salmon. $32 is a steal for this feast.

Great brunch place with a focus on fish and caviar. For a classical taste order bagel with lox, and for more adventurous spirits go for Super Heebster. Also herring on bread is great with vodka

I'm sure the classic platter with lox is delicious, but go out of your comfort zone here. The super heebster bagel toast is incredible. Come before 10 on weekends to skip the line!

i am in love with the throwback design of this place (take a look at their bags: the original phone number!). still a fan of the Super Heebster, the halvah ice cream, the latkes.

A great breakfast cafe. They serve a modern twist on Jewish deli classics. They will not seat you until your entire party is there. The bar is a great place to sit.

Somehow they improved on their 100 year old appetizing shop with this cafe. It just makes me so happy. Everything is amazing but you must order the rye Bloody Mary, Super Heebster, and lots of lox.

Get the Pastrami Russ. Pastrami cured salmon, cheese, sauerkraut, mustard, pickle on a pretzel roll. The perfect combination.

I've honestly never been huge on lox until I came here. Get the eggs benny with a bagel on the side. Don't skip the egg cream and Bloody Mary, either. Also, the coffee is incredible. What a place!

Chopped liver and trio of herring. Very tasty. The brown bread under the herring was a bit confusing, springy and a touch dry. They serve Streits matzo that is toasted, buttered and salted. So good.

Very busy, but very delicious. Classic board with lox is great. Try the babka french toast for something sweet. Good coffee. Great bloody mary. The wait will be long, but definitely worth a go.

Hackle back caviar and blinis, get them. Bloody Marys - I had one with caraway and another one with fenugreek. Get the classic lox on an everything bagel. Finish with challah bread pudding. Holla!

Loved the diner interior and waiters in old fashioned white shirts. Brunch; Kippered and salmon spread w thin crispy waffle cut fries was flavoursome, fresh and nicely light. Mmmm. Bottomless coffee.

You're in New York, so you can get a good bagel or typical brunch any day. Don't mess around. Get as much lox as you can. Get as much herring as you can. Order vodka shots. Go hard or go home

Get the $70 platter! It says it's for 3-4 people but it'll easily serve 6-8 people if you also get appetizers. Try them all. Fresh butter & creme fraiche is a ++!

The last time I went there, I got the Shtetl sandwich board (which comes with sable). The time before, I got the Eggs Benny with lox. Both times? I was delighted! I loved the virgin Bloody Mary, too!

The chopped liver was really good. You can ask for homemade potato chips instead of matzah if that's your speed. Standard bagel with lox and cream cheese is a must as well.

Ohhhh eggs Benny. The salmon was hypnotic! After the first bite all I was hearing was The 'Notic (Come Alive album, The Roots). Entrancing. Also went to crush island on the babka french toast, lordy.

The smoked whitefish chowder caters to modern palates with the addition of espelette pepper. Its mellow smokiness softens in the cream base with flaky shreds of whitefish, root vegetables, & dill.
