good banh mi and a great budget lunch option in the area! get the combo, and try to push the salad and peppers evenly into the sandwich before your first bite, for an even flavor throughout.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches in the entire U.S. (not an exaggeration). Maybe there's a place in Vietnam that does a job as good as these guys. Roast pork, meatball, and 5-spice chicken Bahn Mi are A++

For the price this place is great. At $3.75 a sandwich, you can't lose. Bread is a crunchy and meats are good. Roasted pork is better than the fanci pork.

Straight balling, in the middle of the TL ghetto but the tofu was drenched in amazing sauce and the insanely speedy hands that made them, was quite a sight to watch too!

A veggie tofu sandwich I had was spicy, but it was somewhat pleasant spicyness I've never tasted before. Large sandwiches for a low price and they open early, so it's a good place for a breakfast.

Excellent, cheap bahn mis bring lunchtime crowds to this Tenderloin spot. Don't skip the non-sandwich snacks like glutinous rice pudding, either.

Huge, delicious sandwich for $3.75! Cash only. Only downside is location - it's in the middle of sketchy handful of blocks. Pro tip: if you're walking, take Polk to Eddy

Roast pork is the best, meatball is a close second. MB also has the strongest flavor, thanks to the ample presence of black pepper.
