For less than 10 bucks the Oakland Zoo is a great place for a nice casual relaxing day. Not one of the biggest zoo's but always one of my favorite close to home faves.

Main street has scents pumped into the street from the Candy Palace. In the summer, you can smell vanilla and in the winter, peppermint. Walt wanted peppermint coming out at Christmas time.

I have to say I am very impressed with the Disneyland First Aid Station. The people here should get more props. They are the backbone of Disneyland and the heroes we never hear about.

One of the great things about the ride is how they pump in air so you experience the ride with the smells of the ocean, pine trees and even oranges.

The drops on this ride are the best part for sure. The last two drops are very dangerous and you may get wet! and you may even get totally soaked.

In both parks they offer a turkey dog as a kids meal. Hey I can do a turkey dog, I don't mind. Why do kids get these? What kid doesn't like an all beef hot dog on a bun with all the fixins?
It's Disneyland and they have some very tempting treats so the Dole whip is as healthy as your going to see me get. A Dole whip costs $5 and is worth every penny in my book.
You can't pass up on the Monte Cristo Sandwich. Forget about the 3 cheese version and get the original with swiss cheese, turkey, ham with a berry puree.
Your sight isn't the only sense to be stimulated! You'll be blasted with a burst of air, squirted and suddenly find yourself in a dreamy shower of soap bubbles at various times throughout the show.
Make sure you try the lobster nachos for sure! Tender lobster pieces atop corn tortilla chips, smothered in black beans, tomato, roasted poblano peppers, cilantro and jack and cheddar cheeses.
