- Rachel MercerAugust 21, 2012Really nice and quiet place for lunch. Cocktails here are mind-blowingly good. The cheeseburger and chicken salad sandwich are both great - but the kicker is the fries - which are deliciously salty.
- Selom AAugust 24, 2016This place has been my SAVIOR many a late night!!Seriously delicious dishes, desserts, drinks and staff. I'm going to say it: probably one of the best fried chickens in NYC. Don't sleep on this place!
- Carolina RevillaApril 7, 2017The thing to get is the fried chicken as everyone else says. It's juicy, delicious and they give you big portions. The service was great. Kid friendly place with booths and also a bar
- J CrowleyApril 28, 2012Fried chicken salad sandwich is unreal. Not like regular salad with a ton of mayo. Lighter. Apple and cheese is a nice touch. Perfect thick bread too!
- Behrad EatsFebruary 13, 2016Don't leave before trying the Boca Negra for dessert - Bittersweet Chocolate and Bourbon Cake, perfect ending to a meal.
- Behrad EatsFebruary 13, 2016Phenomenal Buttermilk Fried Chicken: free range chicken with some root mash, and sautéed kale & bacon
- Awesome spot with roomy booths, friendly vibe, and delicious cocktails. Great for dinner or brunch, both with an amazingly good fried chicken (and waffles at brunch!) on the menu.
- Behrad EatsFebruary 13, 2016For starters, order the delicious White Bean Diptopped with bacon and feta with a side of tortilla chips.
- Bryant BalatbatAugust 27, 2015The buttermilk fried chicken was succulent and tasty through and through. And that sautéed kale was sweet and went well with the thick cut bacon. Make sure to also try the seasonal cobbler.
- BrettNovember 21, 2018Friendly service . Duck is excellent and so is gumbo. Small but good beer and wine selection. Reasonable price. Would definitely go again.
- Audra A.November 24, 2014Great drinks. Solid French fries. Chicken is good. But all of the other food here is a bit of a let down. We keep giving their other food another chance, but haven't had a truly great meal here yet.
- Ty McMahanAugust 9, 2014I feel like this place had a hiccup a couple years ago of not so great food. But I've been back three times in 2014 and have been really happy. Gumbo is outstanding. Fried chicken is great.
- Jess MireauApril 30, 2016Fried chicken is great, but so is the salad with feta and beets. They have a rhubarb shrub right now that's pretty great too.
- Gabriel HayesAugust 9, 2015Great cocktails here. Particularly enjoyed the Rumspringa (made with Demarara rum, housemade orgeat, and lime & mint swizzled with crushed ice and angostura bitters).
- Flynn MurrayApril 22, 2021The food, especially the fried chicken, is just as good as the mixed drinks. You can’t go wrong with the Negroni.
- Kimberly AginNovember 23, 2014Probably in my top 5 NYC brunch places of all time. Love the chill gastropub-type atmosphere. Plus the French press coffee and unbelievable food.
- Orchaid JonesOctober 5, 2014Get the gambas for your app and fried chicken for your entree and bread pudding for dessert...trust me!!! And the service was wonderful
- GothamistJune 6, 2012Their late-night menu is later than anywhere else in the hood—so if you're craving fried chicken at midnight, this is it. Pro tip: Hungover? Order the oversized BLT at brunch with a Bloody Mary.
- Astrid MorescoJuly 13, 2014Delicious cocktails, fantastic food. Sit at the back patio if it's warm out :) Highly recommend "The Jesuit" - a mix of bourbon, tonic, and grapefruit.
- HolidayJanuary 25, 2016Order a Manhattan and throw back some oysters. I can't recommend the burger with blue cheese enough for a very enjoyable meal and overall experience.
- Melissa TsangMay 14, 2014Get the seared salmon. Sooooo good! I told them to make it gluten free and dairy free and they were very accommodating. Highly recommended.
- The Brew NoobFebruary 15, 2012This restaurant may be named after a popular cocktail, but with a wide selection of local, craft beers it's also great bar for beer geeks!
- Fried chicken lives up to all the tips. Also the hangover soup is the first dish I've ever had where I didn't wish it had no kale
- Deandra TanJune 19, 2014They don't hold tables, so make sure you get there ahead of time, especially if you want one of their tables in the back. The succulent fried chicken entree made it worth the wait, though...
- Jude DitoAugust 2, 2015The gumbo is good but hot hot hot. Also don't sit near the bar. There's a regular that comes in and when he sits at bar, his plumber's crack was staring at us the whole time, blech!
- Alex MillerSeptember 30, 2013Fried chicken was phenomenal and the cocktails were superb. The open kitchen proves that their chefs have nothing to hide and are proud of the work they are doing.
- Bryan AndrewOctober 12, 2014The "Breakfast" shot is amazing! Great bloodies with Old Bay seasoning on the rim. Had corn beef hash with eggs. Was really good!
- JulineOctober 3, 2013Love the atmosphere. I took a stroll down to Astoria and found this gem along the way. Perfect. Great very salad too!
- Ashley LouiseAugust 2, 2013Amazing cocktails, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely a favorite spot I'm the neighborhood!
- You want to get the fried chicken. Crispy and delicious. Comes with creamy mashed potatoes and kale with bacon. Kale with bacon!!
- Jesse BagelsJanuary 18, 2016They don't have unltd brunch but who cares the brunch food is still very good, esp the French press
- The chicken and waffles at brunch is awesome. And get the Spicy Jesus.
- Ivan WilliamsOctober 20, 2018Rosemary’s Baby cocktail. It’s the bomb. Rosemary infused gin, combier, Orange, Lemon, seltzer.
- Ehh. Let me be a voice of reason. Been here enough to be one. Cocktail game is up there with the best of them, but when I leave here after a $200 bill for 2 Im underwhelmed with the food n feel sad.
- Trying the nice new additions to the cocktail menu, first up is The Elmore Leonard with rhymes Agricole lime, coco water and pear vermouth
- The Corcoran GroupFebruary 11, 2011Don’t skip over their version of a Banh Mi, the Banh – D on a ciabatta with cucumber juice. Get it spicy, with a cold beer out in their backyard.
- Autumn RayneDecember 14, 2014Must try a drink from their list bourban apple was great. Loved the slice if dried apple to go with the drink.
- Nata ShaOctober 5, 2015Proper good...yes the chicken! The sidecar club is fantastic as well! But the chicken!!!
- Gabriel HayesAugust 9, 2015Best fancy fried chicken I have had in both Brooklyn and New York City as a whole.
- Great local place with chill vibe and good, easy brunch options.
- Nikki MJune 1, 2018We love sidecar - but - I didn’t totally love their fried oysters. Idk if it was our timing but they were small & underwhelming. Stick to fresh!
- Richard RevillaApril 3, 2017Yep it's all about that fried chicken. It's sweet just a little different.
- Sidecar club is super tasty. Stays open late! Good food but it can definitely take long so make sure you get an appetizer.
- Hands down buttermilk fried chicken is a must to try for 1st timer. The occasional special Brussels sprout is delicious! Awesome services everytime I come here!
