- Date Night Is...April 30, 2013This cozy hole in the wall is one of the best Date Night spots in the area – arguably in the city. But get there early or at an off time or it can get utterly packed.
- Adrian PhillipsJuly 11, 2017Cozy little hole in the wall that doesn't take reservations. Cocktails are excellent (the Dark & Stormy has fresh ginger in it), mussels were definitely a highlight. Came on a weeknight, not too busy
- Parker ChambersJuly 13, 2017Come for the ambience and wine. Stay for the cute ginger waiter. Return for the retro bathroom. Return again for the cute ginger waiter (obviously).
- Travel + LeisureApril 11, 2013Restaurateur Matt Abramcyk’s cubbyhole hideout in a former seafarer’s inn serves retro cocktails and comfort food (meatballs; house-pickled vegetables).
- NicoleApril 3, 2016Even if the kitchen's closed you can get some potato chips with Russian dressing. Michael the bartender will make you a drink if you tell him what you like. Cozy place. Crowd older than expected.
- Another one of my neighborhood favorites. Cozy and warm atmosphere, top notch cocktails. Have yet to try the food but they have a full menu!
- Yes, the best dark'n'stormy around. In summer, grab a table outside and order your food as soon as you sit down, since it takes a while (one bunsen burner). Be sure to use the bathroom, it's swag.
- Adam McCueJuly 3, 2015Dark and Stormy is one of the best cocktails in the city -- just watch out for the ginger. It's got a bite.
- Kale bruschetta, chicken liver mousse, OYSTERS, and pretty much everything on the brunch menu. Also, very enjoyable tropical pimm's cup. Intimate environment.
- Zachary MartzJanuary 6, 2017Great atmosphere in a intimate setting. Tasty cocktails and burger. A nice spot for a date or late lunch on the weekend.
- Monica CullenDecember 8, 2014Max occupancy is 35...snagging a seat can be hard, and you have to order food if you sit at a table. Cool ambiance though with classic cocktails and some fun twists!
- The TelegraphJuly 3, 2012A rustic-chic gem of cocktail bar not much larger than a jewel box. Order a Negroni, and don’t be surprised if Robert DeNiro or Bradley Cooper wander in off for a night cap (001 212 226 2515).
- Bond StreetOctober 3, 2016"Bauhaus meets constructivist. Reclaimed wood, soft lighting, moody feel. We go for the bespoke classics like the Vesper." - Markus Glocker and John Winterman, chef and managing partner - Bâtard Read more
- The place is tiny and croweded but the perfect location for a snowy NYC night. Try the dark and stormy and enjoy the delicious good that the chef cranks out on induction burners at the bar! Read more
- Sami KiJanuary 20, 2014Super discrete & hidden place. Steam punk style decor. Whimsical. Good food and drinks. Recommend the lobster poached eggs and salmon tartar.
- Alice KangDecember 2, 2014Excellent cocktails. For a teeny tiny kitchen smaller than my cutting board, it put out great appetizers and snacks!
- jon nguyenMay 1, 2013Try the Avocado Bruschetta - this was super good and spicy as cat shit...makes sense after looking at the pic, they only smothered the avocado with chili flakes
- Duke PerkinsMarch 30, 2015Amazeballs little spot. Great spot to pop in with a date. All sorts of of lil nick nacks about....
- Ayesha AhmadAugust 7, 2014If you can find it... do go. It's everything that's in season, simple but SO good. Great ambiance. Not great for large groups (it's tiny).
- Jennifer KMay 14, 2011Hidden treasure. Order the Moscow Mule..the best I've had on both coasts. Order the Ricotta - it's fantastic! I have to say, love it at Colonie but it's even better here.
- 4 things to know: 1) order a Dark & Stormy 2) look around, conduits and other underground pieces are part of the charm 3) bathroom is an old elevator 4) go early or late. Peak times = bad experience
- Justin BretonAugust 5, 2014I would come here just for the burrata. It's that good. The cocktails are great, too.
- Sunny BakMay 28, 2013I love this place but tonight I was not impressed by the oysters and the condiments... Love the atmosphere anyway and I will be back soon.
- jon nguyenMay 1, 2013Try the House Pickled Vegetables - this was my favorite of the night just bc i have a pickling fetish and care of nothing else when a good pickle is in front of me
- Raelinn DotyDecember 17, 2013Love this place. Low key. Tiny. Good drinks, good food, incredible atmosphere and great people. Much big love.
- Nick GrayJune 28, 2015Swordfish was great. Lamb meatballs seemed dry and sorta burnt. Bathroom is awesome. I have never seen a sink like that (fold it down, then back up to drain).
- Kmart FashionDecember 2, 2011A cute and cozy restaurant bar hidden in Tribeca. Wonderful small plates and cocktails. Our tip: Check out the beautifully designed 40’s era bathroom.
- HOBNOB MagazineJuly 1, 2012It's amazing that this place serves food, the smallest kitchen I've ever seen (corner of the bar). Great spot for late-night drink and bites.
- Ryan LandrySeptember 12, 2014Tiny little hole in the Tribeca wall, with flashbulbs dancing outside with someone mega-famous walking by. Good manhattan, too.
- Josh MateoNovember 8, 2014Super cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Cocktails are great and seasonal. Hole in the wall vibes.literally.
- Anna SantiagoJuly 13, 2016Cute that they cook everything on a small stove behind the bar. Good for lunch in the summer
- Matthew CaldecuttOctober 16, 2015This place has a small cocktail list, but the drinks are strong and it's surprisingly laid back for Tribeca.
- Men's Health MagNovember 10, 2011It used to be a horse stable, and the bathroom is an old elevator. Ship plans hang on the walls. The vintage cocktails are strong. Order a Negroni, like a fisherman would do after a big day's catch.
- Andrew McKenzieOctober 13, 2014Plow through their delicious cocktails so you have an excuse to visit the bathroom.
- Laura ChinMay 11, 2013Cocktails, sure, but don't sleep on the food. Cooked behind the bar on hot plates, but still pretty incredible,
- Stephanie PatafioAugust 27, 2013Great little spot and believe the hype about the Dark and Stormy. It was delicious. Super gingery.
- Soft cheddar scramble, burger, poached chicken club, coffee, cocktails
- Anthony VolodkinJune 29, 2013Sit on the single chair to the right of the bar and feel AC on a hot day like you've never felt it before!
- DoubleDeuceApril 4, 2015Very small so hit it up off-peak to get the charm from it. Saturday afternoon is my favorite time.
- Maria RiabtchenkoJune 6, 2015Burgurrrrrrrrr and fries 💪🏽 but if you're not down, meat balls or mussels are outta the world too
- This is my bar. I love it soo much, the staff, the food, and the drinks. It's in my top 10. Great place to bring friends or family who visit NY.
- Gabriela SussmanDecember 5, 2013Stumbled in here by accident, ate some decent food, had some fancy cocktails. Tiny, dim lighting, and has a bathroom sink that requires flushing.
- Derek FlanzraichJuly 25, 2015Good Dark 'n Stormy (must love ginger), great antique-looking bathroom.
- Travel + LeisureAugust 24, 2012Check out the bathroom, made out of a turn-of-the-century elevator with a flip-down sink from a Depression-era railway car.
- Adrien LJune 10, 2015If you're looking for a culinary adventure, look elsewhere. The entrees are bare: expect mains without sides. That being said, great ambiance and decor. Drinks > dinner
- Thompson HotelsNovember 17, 2011Whether you're on a first date or celebrating your anniversary, this cocktail bar is perfect for an intimate, romantic evening.
