Dedicated to NY's maritime history, South Street Seaport is known for its water taxis and large boats. But stroll down the peer with an ice cream cone to feel like you’re almost on a beach boardwalk.

19th century cityscape for your pleasure. Designated historic district includes NYC's largest concentration of restored early 19th century mercantile buildings -- huddled under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Fun area to hang out in very lower Manhattan which otherwise is a fairly square business area. During the you also get to enjoy a number of events, ice skating and a tree with Carolers

So sad that the original south street seaport mall has to close down because of hurricane sandy :(. The new south street seaport can’t compare, but there is a huge improvement - plenty of new stores!

Tons of tourists here but still a great destination for shopping, eating, and drinking. Our favorite spot down here still remains Beekman Beer Garden.
