    What a true southern gem in chicago. Everything from the decorations and music to the wonderfully fried and non fried selection of farm to table delights. Beet salad is a must. She crab soup is yum.

    Easily THE BEST Southern food I've had in Chicago. Get the Mac and cheese and fried chicken! I was too full for the pecan pie but it looked amazing!

    If you are lactose intolerant and sadly cannot have the Mac and Cheese (which should be the ONLY reason you don't get it), I feel badly for you. Try the Maple-glazed Sweet Potatoes as your side.

    The food was outstanding! Fried Green Tomato appetizer with Andouille Sausage was very good. Make sure you get the Mac & Cheese side!

    Everyone talks about the fried chicken but it's actually really, really bland. The mac 'n cheese is transcendental, though. Get it!

    Obviously, try the mac & cheese and save room for dessert. The Hummingbird Cake is their signature dessert, BUT I highly recommend the Sweet Corn Custard...absolutely to die for. Awesome atmosphere.

    The mac and cheese and biscuits are to die for. The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful and worth making a Sunday or Monday reservation. Get messy!
