ianlanlanian: Walk the track from visitor centre to the summit back down to the sulphur pit on the other side! From there you can catch a minibus back to the centre. Amazing views!

Serious Eats: Hot & crowded, the Shilin Night Market is not for the faint of heart. But come with energy and you'll be rewarded with everything from stinky tofu, oyster omelets & rice noodles among many treats.

Talisa Chang: English menu at the counter where you order. If you get the milk tea, you can choose the percentage of ice and sugar (went with 50% sugar, was sweet but not too sweet). Small or large boba pearls.
Talisa Chang: Not as hectic as some of the other markets. The main drags are along the water and one street in. We found peanut ice cream burritos on the waterfront. Also a good black sesame dessert store.
Taipei Arts Festivals: First and still the only 24hr bookstore in Taipei. Definitely high on everyone's must-do, must-see list! This is the Dunnan flagship. Check out Xinyi branch just 2 metro stops away.(Kat)
