Very relaxed airport. Enough space to sit in comfortable chair if you have to wait for your flight. Also free wifi and lot's of restaurants and shops.Upvoted 1 day ago

Workstations for charging & laptop use are plentiful. They offer free wireless access for all customers. Their wireless portal is mobile-ready & has helpful flight info.
Try the planes! I get one every time....they are pretty much a must have here!
Big construction going on at the moment and it looks like it's going to be really nice inside. It was already a great airport but now it'll be even better. Looking forward to a new TPA!- Love this airport. Clean and tidy and small enough to get in and out of quickly. It's also right in the city which most major airports are about 30 mins out of the city.
The airport is well organized. I love that you can have your meal as you wait for flights. A good selection to choose from.
I travel all over the US and out of the country and our airport is the BEST! So simple to get in and out of!
One of my favorite airports. Having a wife who smokes, each airside terminal has a smoking area. It's outside but being in FL you will not freeze.- Spacious airport, efficient lines and great restaurants. I've only been on the United side and it's all new from the last time I was here. Just wish there were more flights from Chicago to here.

One of America’s bear airport. Easy in / easy out. Lots of great and local food options. Take some time to check it out!
Best choice for local food: The Columbia Café (Airside E), Green Iguana (Airside A), Shula's & Cigar City Brewing (Airside C) and First Flight, a wine bar by Mise en Place in the Main Terminal.

Gisela G.December 20, 2011Cell phone waiting lot is great. It has restrooms and drinks. Also the lot has a flight board that tells you when flights land or if they are delayed. Great place to wait and turn off your engine!
The information person at the main terminal is so nice. He is proactively calling out to people to ask if they need help. He can spot the lost souls.
TPA has a fabulous shopping area in the main terminal for gorgeous beach cover ups, sun dresses, jewelry and non-cheesy gifts your friends and family will actually appreciate! Save room in your bag!
Love this airport. Every time I'm here I've had such a smooth experience. The staff is friendly and there's a Starbucks if you need a kick from a red-eye flight. Free Wi-fi is provided too!- Refresh urself in the main terminal instead of airside. Restrooms r very clean and way less busy.
TIA just celebrated 50 years & hasn’t stopped improving since. Plenty of quick or sit-down eateries to choose from prior to boarding (for those tearful farewells). Clean, efficient & has local eats!

Huge airport. Tons to eat and visit while you wait. A lot of parking but can be busy airport so arrive early.
National Car RentalOctober 7, 2012No need to look for Wi-Fi here since it's free throughout the airport. Skip the souvenir shops and head to the International Shopping Plaza for your last-minute gifts (only 10 min from the airport).
Well organized airport with an efficient hub and spoke layout. Nice shops and food choices while you wait.

The best airport bar none. And they are still improving. Easy parking, nice departure lounge, you easily wait for arriving guests. Awesome.
Here's a tip. Park in long term parking on the second floor and you can walk right into the boarding terminal. Saves a bunch of time if you have your boarding pass already in hand.
Getting better and better every year. Loads of places to eat and free WiFi

Cosmo ShepherdDecember 20, 2013I recommend the Tarmac, it's wonderful! It's great for landing AND taking off! You can also sit and wait for hours on end on the tarmac if you like (or even if you don't like!)
Beautiful airport, easy in and out. Free wifi and plenty of shopping and food/drink past security. No 'charger chairs', but they have plenty of workstations you can set up at and charge up.

Dewey HollemanJune 9, 2013There is Delta sky priority security line as well as TSA pre check . Look for the Starbucks inside E as well as the Columbia Restaurant, The 1905 salad is just as good as the location in Ybor City!
Great airport, they have the TSA thing down pat. Lines move!
RichardJune 18, 2019Very nice airport to get in and out of. Just remember you need to take the tram to get into the gate area. The TSA lines were fast and terminal nice and clean.
#2 large airport in US for good reason! Love my home airport. First time here, as a passenger, since February 2020.

Cellphone waiting lot is awesome! They have food trucks, free wi-fi, restrooms, and a huge board to show you all the details of the flights.
