- Thurgood CoatsAugust 24, 2015Loved the tank noodle special and the mango bubble tea! The appetizer sampler was a great way to start the meal as well. Service suffers due to how the floor is run, but just bring your patience.
- Chris SteeleAugust 8, 2014I don't want to know the nutritional value of a Thai iced tea smoothie. I only want to know how many unicorns gave their lives to make this magical concoction possible.
- Cindy KurmanAugust 10, 2014Love our waiter. He's the real deal. Sat down next to me while I ordered! Probably wouldn't fly downtown but outside on Argyle, perfect. Ordered the sizzling Crepe, one of my Vietnamese! Delish
- David D.March 2, 2018Everything is great; #7 appetizer and #40 are our go to’s. Green tea bubble tea! Always crowded; inexpensive VN food; Chicago’s best!
- Autumn ChoiApril 30, 2019Only tried their combo pho, which is good. Generous portion, good food, quick service, good English menu. But there was hair in my water.
- Chefs FeedApril 15, 2016A big bowl of Tank’s phở is delicious, but the catfish really gets my taste buds going. If I’m feeling really gluttonous, I’ll get the catfish and pork simmered in a clay pot. Read more
- Chicago TribuneJuly 2, 2015Tank Noodle handles the Vietnamese tradition of avocado-as-dessert with characteristic decadence, mixing Haas avocados with sugar and half-and-half to arrive at a lush, pudding-like treat. Read more
- Konrad StefanSeptember 9, 2016After being spoiled by NYC pho for many years, I thought it would be hard to find anything close but Tank Noodle definitely hits the spot.
- Erika DavisJune 8, 2015I usually get pho Thai. Their broth is good, and they give you good portion. I especially like their Vietnamese spring roll with Shrimp!
- Scott KnitterOctober 26, 2013Really liked the #100. Pork chop, egg cake thingy, and rice. All of it delicious. Lime juice and soda drink. $35 paid for dinner for two.
- I have been to many Vietnamese places. However, this is still the very best bowl of pho I can find in Chicago. BYOB also
- Spoon UniversityJanuary 3, 2017Bourdain praised their spicy pho, but with over 230 dishes on their menu, Tank Noodle has something for everyone (even those that hate the heat). Read more
- It's always crowded bc their food is great! I always get #43! And their Thai milk tea boba is delicious (easy on the ice though).
- Don't fret about which Pho number dish to order. It's like ordering pizza. The base - the key part - is the same. Then you just choose your toppings :)
- David CurielNovember 29, 2014I think tank noodles serves some of the best pho in the city, always great for those cold days or hangovers
- Evelyn TaylorSeptember 29, 2013The food is great, but service is slowww! Try the lemon grass chicken on rice and sweet and sour cabbage!! Great!
- Jack ReidMarch 7, 2016Had the traditional pho and it was delicious - you get so much food I couldn't finish!
- The FeastJune 9, 2011No need to doll yourself up on a Saturday night for this humble BYOB. Overlook the less than flattering decor and prepare for aromatic beef pho and other Vietnamese specialties.
- Amy RobertsonNovember 19, 2016The XL bowl is great to share between two people, but I'm not a fan of the tendon
- Kellen TerrettAugust 8, 2014This is the place I always return to for pho. Love the seating and overall environment.
- Bobby KennedyAugust 2, 2018It's the most popular place on Argyle, but it's also the most consistent. The phở is always on point.
- All done! Best pho is Chicago... And cafe sua da is mighty strong too!
- Vince GarciaNovember 14, 2012They play Dj Flipside podcasts here!! Awesome! The pho is good too, but my favorite is the watermelon slush
- Jamar McCrayJanuary 13, 2013Everything is enough to feed two people.. so go there with the mind state of sharing. Order mutiple dishes!
- Christina BowersApril 12, 2012Bun thit nuong comes with very little bun. Also beware of diff between pork (more traditional prep) and beef (a bit dry and seasoned with lemongrass)
- Clyde DwyerDecember 29, 2014Bahn xeo. Amazingly crispy, especially with little bites of crisp pork belly.
- Matthew PattersonApril 9, 2013Great service and vast menu. Pho is good but they tend too put too many tendons in with the beef
- #43, go with the double order of noodles, 2 spoonfuls of sri racha sauce, and a generous amount of bean sprouts. And a strawberry/pineapple smoothie. Done.
- Best pho in Chicago. Always packed while other restaurant around are nearly empty. Price is good, food is awesome.
- Jack StullJuly 2, 2013Delicious green tea, bubble tea. Employee advised us to try it with banana next time:)
- Joseph B.February 26, 2018Large menu, but you have to be kind of adventurous. I chose well and had a good meal, would go back.
- Evelyn TaylorSeptember 29, 2013The food is great, but service is slowww. Try the lemon grass chicken on rice. Awesome!
- ISC ChicagoFebruary 18, 2012There is almost always a line. Be patient and you will be rewarded. The pho is amazing.
- Ryan PaganJanuary 20, 2014Great place but the vegetarian spring rolls were not that good and the sauce was way too sweet the pho was awesome!!
- Everyone knows their Pho rocks. Order a watermelon boba if you desire a super refreshing drink.
- Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their banh xeo is ALMOST as good as my mom's homemade.
- Lasantha RanasingheAugust 6, 2013Try the rice dish with grilled pork chop, Chinese sausage and fried egg!!!!!
- #47 is my favorite. But I'd also recommend #114, 7b, 29 and any of the fruit smoothies. I've never had a bad meal. My favorite place in Chicago!
