- Joe SheppardAugust 21, 2014More Down Under cafe culture than NYC hustle. Come to chill, read, hang out. Espresso, relaxed staff, retro beats, & separate laptop area all get thumbs up. The curbside seats out front get great sun!
- Shanna NevelzJanuary 12, 2016Besides being a great cafe for reading, sipping lattes, and indulging in a Balthazar pastry, check the schedule to catch some talented local musicians, e.g. Brazilian jazz, with wine!
- This might be my new favorite coffee shop. Wonderful vibe and design, friendly staff, and delicious drinks and food! Ample space at the community technology table and excellent wifi.
- Harlem AmbassadorJune 16, 2015Tunisian owner opens Italian cafe in Dominican nabe. Local creatives add to the vibe. After 5pm is ideal for dates that sip wine from bottles and chat. Food is locally made. Wifi now moved to rear.
- EddieSeptember 11, 2016Great food, service and comfortable environment with a friendly staff. Free wifi and a plug-in community table. A definite pitstop for locals. What more do you need?
- Jonathan PevarnekSeptember 28, 2017Good espresso (and with cute mason jar cups for macchiatos!). They now have signs up prohibiting laptops, so not a good place to work.
- LivaFebruary 16, 2015Try the goat cheese panini if you want to grab a bite. Best seats are at the back of the press. People watch, plug your laptop and work to great music too
- Great, responsibly sourced coffee; friendly, no-attitude staff; warm vibe. A welcome oasis and benefit for the neighborhood. Support your local coffee shop!
- Richard CarterAugust 23, 2014The staff and owner are so nice and attentive to their customers. The food and ambience is great! They have live music occasionally. I love the place!
- Rowan QuirkJanuary 6, 2017This place is super cute with good vibes and coffee. But beware, if you are working on a laptop there is limited space and you're only allowed in the back. We we kicked out of the front.
- KellySeptember 5, 2014Best coffee spot in Washington Heights. Their cold brew is so good! Support small business owners!
- Tyler JacobApril 15, 2017Cool spot but enforcing the no-laptops-till-2:30 rule when the place is empty makes zero sense.
- Fantastic coffee and Balthazar pastries. Try the grilled paninis or the new smoked salmon bagel. Local owner, super friendly staff.
- Carlos J MartinezAugust 12, 2016The very fresh organic coffee beans. Make sure to try the Cappuccino and eggs benedicts. 👌💪
- Colin LeeMarch 7, 2016Kale omelette was scrumptious. Nice place to relax and study and enjoy great food and hot drinks
- The place that sparked my love for cold brew. They also have great omelets, coffee drinks, and people.
- Gabriel M.March 25, 2017Surprisingly good coffee spot in the Heights. Nice atmosphere and close to the subway station.
- Dr. Michele IveyDecember 23, 2015It's small but Cozy :-) A great spot to meet a friend, chat, knit and relax. A hidden gem !
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideOctober 17, 2013Although their espresso is rough around the edges, Taszo is a large, bright shop in an underserved neighborhood, with a separate back area for computer users.
- Tiffany LangstonFebruary 1, 2015Quaint spot. Great vibe and pretty good coffee. Skip the macarons (the delicate sandwich cookie, not the coconut ones); they're actually soggy and petty terrible.
- Espresso is not the greatest but Upper Manhattan sorely lacks cafés like this - meeting place, Balthazar pastries, lots of space. The owner is always running around!
- Victor RomanOctober 25, 2014The staff is amazing. I have been coming here since day 1. Haitem takes good care of his customers.
- Good coffee, friendly baristas. Laptops are segregated to a table in the back (as they should be).
- doug almondMay 21, 2013Great spot, great coffee, great atmosphere. And I like surfing guilt-free at the tech table in the back. An oasis!
- Outdoor express cart just saved my morning! Got a coffee and pre-bagged croissant in about a minute. Super quick when running late.
- They now have also great healthy alternatives to coffee drinks .. Like pure coconut water ... Also iced :-)
- The salmon and spinach frittata is SO. GOOD. @ ToroComm for more~
- An expanded menu of sandwiches, salads, and macarons augments the existing selection of pastries!
- Alex Cruz-LebrónDecember 3, 2017It says here it has Wi-Fi, however an employee came over to tell me about their “no computers policy”. This is a no go for me.
- Now with pastries from Balthazar Bakery! French baked goodness up in the Heights!
- The owner is so sweet and takes time, effort, and care to make you a $2.50 cup of coffee. High quality customer service here!
- Their latte is great. Nice sandwiches. I love the computer area to work.
- This place is awesome! Great computer corner, amazing staff and out of this world coffee!!
- Aimée O'SullivanApril 26, 2013Beautiful sunlight and friendly staff! I'm so happy this place opened! :)
- Coffee could be a little hotter. Unlike the café next door, though, the WiFi here actually works.
- Iced Americano on hot Summer Days gives you the strong coffee flavor while being refreshing!!
- Can't get the wifi to work... But can always use planet fitness wifi from next door!
- Get The Works Bagel. Lox, onions, capers, tomato. Delicious.
- Their coffee is from Crop to Cup! So you can drink and feel good about it!
