- Serious EatsJune 4, 2014With outdoor dining overlooking Fort Port Channel, it's a great gathering place for a celebration, and boasts thick clam chowder and a selection of fresh fish daily.Upvoted Oct 2
- Alex RainertAugust 23, 2014Great place after a day tearing through the city. End at the wharf for some cold beers & great clams, oysters, cocktail shrimp. Don't be turned off by the touristy look. This place is solid.
- Jake SmithMay 8, 2014If using malt vinegar for fries/fried fish, make sure the "shaker top" is on the bottle; otherwise you'll have drowned your food in the liquid. If available on draught, try the Barking Crab White.
- Cindi PoppJanuary 14, 2017The best place ever! Love the fresh seafood. Great job Sarah, Katie and Josh! Can not wait for my next visit to the Boston area...my number one spot to hang out
- Meg BermanNovember 9, 2018Open year round, this Seaport district fixture is a great spot for on the water dining. Arrive by boat & dock at the marina during low tide. The menu features seafood options from across New England.

- Matthew TringaliJune 15, 2016Don't remember what it is called, but essentially seafood stew, with lobster, haddock, littlenecks & mussels. Amazing! Crab cakes look amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. Right next to Children's Museum.
- Cole KennedyAugust 19, 2017It can edge into tourist territory, and certainly looks the part, but it's a worthwhile stop on a summer afternoon or evening — especially now that the Seaport is an actual place to spend time.
- Great place for seafood. Beer selection is pretty good. Fried clams and oysters are pretty good. Occasionally they have specials like the soft shelled crab burgers which are awesome.
- JuanitaJune 25, 2016Atmosphere is fun, oysters are fresh, and dungeoness crab was delish. Come here with a lot of time and in a good mood!
- Chris PriesnitzJune 21, 2014Delicious lobster in a relaxed atmosphere! Plan some time to go there! Often crowded! Definitely worth the waiting time! Spot for tourists and locals as well!
- DMDecember 23, 2014Really popular place! We'd have to wait for 15 minutes to get in! But is really costed it, because the dishes was delicious, staff very friendly. Sure to come again.
- Cindi PoppJanuary 14, 2017Oh my!! I could not get enough of the fresh seafood. Love it! Sarah, Katie and Josh you are the best! Can not wait for my next visit. Thank you!!!

- Gadi ShamiaAugust 23, 2017Live music, great summer vibe, fresh fish... what not to love. Also the view.
- Craig DesmaraisSeptember 4, 2014Huge lobster roll. They also have a HUGE lobster you can eat....if you can afford it. Decent beer selection, but order at the bar if you can, it gets busy!
- Natalia ChilcoteNovember 2, 2012My favorite memories...paddling a full dragon boat (head, tail and all) and docking it below some ogle-eyed customers. Then smashing a crab, enjoying sweet sangrias, and paddling all the way home.
- JingXun HuOctober 27, 2016Unpretentious, no-frills superb lobster and oysters and crab. Do not miss it!
- Kelly RobertsonAugust 24, 2013Sit at the bar and talk to Jay. He knows his stuff and is one of the best servers I've had. The peel and eat shrimp are awesome. As are the Oyster Shots.
- MashableMarch 20, 2014Located on the edge of Boston’s historic Fort Point Channel, The Barking Crab has become one of the city’s best-loved meeting and eating spots.
- Vernon CheungJune 16, 2011Crab dip packed full of crab. Lobster mac n cheese was incredible. Boston baked scrod = buttery baked fish goodness. Naked lobster roll jam packed with buttery lobsta. Top it with Sam Adams Brick Red.
- Todd DeJuliusJuly 5, 2015Naked lobster rolls are the way to go. So much better than the mayonnaise regular ones
- Tara DeVincenzoJune 10, 2015Tourist or not (guilty...) this place really hit the mark in providing some delicious Boston chowdah with a side of harbor breeze
- Michelle A.August 3, 2011Definitely a tourist spot but with great food. The naked lobster roll is awesome. Lots of lobster without all the work. Beware of the bathrooms, though. They're tiny and scary.
- Gary NoeFebruary 19, 2017Excellent foods, great service. Our first time visiting and will definitely come back.
- Celeste M.August 4, 2013Best crab cake appetizers anywhere. Outside atmosphere is cool, definitely for tourists. Excellent service!

- SEGAJanuary 5, 2012Rustic, unpretentious, and delicious. Order a lobster, eat the whole thing (tomalley too!) and be happy. - Kellie, Community Manager
- Woah, $21 for a lobster roll? Make it to a more authentic spot for more lobster for the buck.
- Muhammed BulutAugust 11, 2014Lobster are adviced. If you do not want to strive combing out the lobster, sandwich ones are ideal.
- Michael TroianoJune 10, 2012There may be no place in Boston better to be on a warm Summer night with someone you love. Or even someone you might someday.
- Martin HanniganMay 20, 2012It's a tourist spot so don't come expecting five star treatment. If you're a local though, tip well, smile and have fun. You'll be taken care of.
- Travel ChannelAugust 4, 2011The Barking Crab has some of the best -- and biggest -- seafood dishes Boston has to offer. -Adam Richman, Man v Food Nation

- Matthew CaldecuttSeptember 5, 2015An hour wait on a Saturday night and a bar so packed people spill out onto the sidewalk. Maybe, I'll make it on my next trip.
