- Alejandro RojoAugust 24, 2016The rooms are just right, the bathroom can be a little bigger but other than that is good, the best thing is its location. Really good to walk around and meet the city.
- A Happy Hour favorite -- such an impressive place! International tapas-style menu. GORGEOUS and fancy lobby and restaurant! Find more Happy Hour BESTS in the Happy Hour Guidebook! http://bit.ly/jxrLJ

- Bruce SchneiderJune 23, 2013Quite possibly the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Kathryn, in the restaurant (breakfast) will make your day brighter no matter what! She's THAT good!!!
- Mai GussMay 19, 2015If you call down to the front desk or housekeeping, they will lend you a "companion fish" betta for the duration of your stay, free of charge.

- Gary LuskAugust 25, 2012Great hotel, but If you require Internet access - you might consider other options. It is free (via AT&T wifi) but it was slow and unreliable the week I was there.
- ShinaJuly 15, 2019Pretty old but has a lot of charm. The rooms are massive and it’s in a fantastic location.
- arKsocialOctober 29, 2011Beautiful restaurant beneath the hotel! Ask for a tour of the secret wine room! Bet you can't find the entry door - it really IS secret!

- AT&TSeptember 13, 2011Another great reason to stay here: AT&T Wi-Fi is one of the many amenities here for guests. It’s fast and easy to connect.
- Traver WallFebruary 6, 2010If you are having dinner in either London Grill or El Gaucho, stop into the lobby bar for a drink as well. It's beautiful and has nice live music.
- Jacquie RooneyOctober 14, 2012The breakfast buffet is dynamite. Quality food paired with top notch service!
- Hotel TonightNovember 9, 2011The opulent lobby is Portland at its poshest, with marble covering everything from the grand staircase to the fireplace.
- Forest MarsMay 20, 2013It's a good thing the Benson has a fitness center, the breakfast buffet is very well apportioned.

- Jen C SimpsonOctober 29, 2011Old hotel but bed is comfy. Continental breakfast is simple but gd - fresh fruits in a bowl, toast, juice, and coffee. Unfortunately, no cell phone reception on the bottom flr where the restaurant is.
- Marisa MoranJanuary 23, 2016Rooms are super tiny and smell like old casino (smoke scent is penetrated through all rooms)
- Erik GranlundMay 3, 2014Not sure what others were saying about small rooms. I got the junior suite and it's ginormous.
- Scott AbernethyApril 6, 2010Beware of the valet parking rip-off! My vehicle was parked for about 14 hours, and $29 was added to the room bill, plus the tip for retrieving my vehicle!
- Iain MJune 22, 2014Avoid this hotel - mediocre and. It worth the price for the service. Noisy halls with slamming doors, lack of modernization in the rooms. Lobby looks nice but otherwise I give it 2.5 of 5 at best.
- Samuel ArakiMarch 21, 2013There are some really tiny rooms here... Stay away from room numbers ending in - 10, - 15
- They don't have microwaves so be ready to not be able to eat left overs!
- Slowest elevators in Portland. Lobby may be nice but rooms need an update.
- Derek PhillipsJune 19, 2011Benson looks nice but don't bother..... Inept desk loses big reservations, keycards don't work, room service won't pick up the phone.... WTF?
