Just talk to the hosts and see if there is a table down or upstairs (inside info). They are great and the space is beautiful.

If you're here for cocktails, it's overpriced, even for cocktails in New York. If you're here for the scenery, stick around; it's stunning.

Even longtime New Yorkers may not be privvy to this secluded spot. Come here to unwind after work or to stargaze (Jay-Z & Eddie Vedder are fans)

The "dress code" apparently restricts jeans, t-shirts, and bags. So, 90% of the times you're at Grand Central you're not getting in.

You can't wear jeans. Take the elevator next to grand central oyster. Bring in snacks from grand central market. Act like you're in Gossip Girl.

Stick to the cocktails on the menu, and specify your spirits, they go for the cheap stuff if you don't ask. You're paying for the ambiance, not the bar.

The best over priced bar in Midtown East. Lovely cocktail waitresses and yummy drinks. And relatively few chumps harassing you.

Try to make your way up the secret service elevator. It's way more exciting then walking through the front door downstairs. Delicious mixed drinks and such a beautiful interior.

Come in early before the corporate crowd gets off work, pony up to the bar, immerse yourself in the Prohibition vibe, and watch the mixologists go to work. And look presentable.
