Grape vines line the ceilings and walls of this authentic hookah bar/restaurant/lounge. Our group had a lot of fun. The food was delicious. Definitely try their zucchini fries with the special aioli!

My favorite hookah bar in nyc! Fair prices, a huge selection of flavors, and they're open late. I've always had good service and the garden is really nice to sit in during the summer.

Charming place. The hostess and bartender were so sweet. The hookah was good. My crew of friends had mint, peach, watermelon and some crazy thing they recommended. The mint was my fave fyi.

It has character, it has good hookah ($20 per hookah) and a nice vibe. The music is upbeat and their hookah flavor list is extensive. You can even mix flavors!

Restful music and relaxing atmosphere. Good food. It had been many years since we were here and did not realize the outside garden was now a hookah lounge.

The pleasantly sacrilegious ambiance for smoking hookah and drinking fine wine adds to your inebriating experience. The pride and joy of CC though is the outdoor garden.

Malaysian flat bread is amazing. Ocean mussels in white wine are light and flavorful pair them with the Brie and avocado quesdillas. Outdoor cafe with hookahs available completes the experience.

Oh, Cloister. I discovered this place a few years ago with some friends. Chocolate mint is the BEST hookah flavor. I come mainly for the hookah and the atmosphere

Pretty decent place for hookah, or just to grab a couple of drinks. The outdoor garden is pretty awesome, and they have Pilsner Urquell on tap.

This place uses insta light charcoal, it's a no no for real smokers, specially from LA. Good vibe though and better than being in a "club" hookah atmosphere.

One of my favorite hookah places. Pay a ton of attention to your hookah and it has a garden that is the prettiest! And the food isn't too shabby.

Good food and reasonable prices. BEWARE for the automatic gratuity on all checks and they still leave an open tip line on your credit card receipt.

Cute environment and good hookah. The wait staff was NOT nice and tacked an automatic 20 percent tip onto our check (party of 2) and we didn't even eat. Didn't appreciate that.

Cloister has a new rule: you can smoke your $20 hookah only for 1 hour, then you pay $5 for each extra coal. Go somewhere else. A lot of other hookah places in the East Village!
