- Stephen MlinarcikNovember 6, 2016THE neighborhood coffee and breakfast joint. Sandwiches are on point and their Iced Americano is the best in Chelsea. Doubles as a cozy bar in the evenings, so you have no excuse to leave. Ever.
- NicoleApril 9, 2016Grilled cheese with bacon on focaccia. 😍 Cramped tiny space where you can overhear every conversation, but so worth a trip for coffee, wine, salads, and sandwiches.
- Bit bummed their avocado toast is now on a massive baguette rather than a roast. Great place for a quick coffee and snack. Too small to work in. Really nice service.Upvoted 15 hours ago
- Michael JonesApril 3, 2015This is a great spot! Delicious food, really tasty and so fresh! Great coffee too. And omg I want to try the pastries, but the upcoming wedding won't allow it :(. Ha ha. Enjoy!
- SebJanuary 29, 2015The staff is very friendly and my salad was delicious. The place is lovely. People invading coffee places with laptops, don't come here after 12 as it's not allowed. Quite normal for a small place.
- Melissa RosenthalOctober 12, 2014One of NYC's hidden gems. Skip the wait at cafe gitane and order the avocado toast with smoked salmon. Life changing.
- Stina P.December 8, 2013The cutest! With barely room for more than 5 tables, red neon lights, tile, modern wood, music, and friendly local staff, this is the classic, efficient coffee shop/touch of local bar that is NY's ❤
- Jessie MiñoAugust 12, 2014Cute spot to have a cup of coffee or a sangria, ha what a mix. Tight seating but cozy. Variety of great quick bites like the grilled mozzarella.
- Nicole CascinoAugust 10, 2013The avocado toast was delish as well as the cookies. Frank and Matt are super nice and attentive. Great place to have a bottle of wine and chat with friends.
- Andrew FurmanNovember 19, 2015Great place to grab a late night coffee. Has beer on tap, but still has a chill coffee shop vibe at night.
- I like their policy of asking people not to use their laptops or tablets. It's too tiny in here to have people hogging the tables. Love their sausage breakfast sandwich and BLT.
- Everything here is delicious. Avocado toast w/ salmon, arugula salad, chicken sandwich... the list goes one. Coffee is also great. Almond milk instead of soy!
- Lily O'DareOctober 28, 2014Avocado toast (with sliced tomato) delivered to my office is the most wonderful breakfast/snack in Chelsea!
- My mornings are a little easier with a great chai or cup of coffee from this place. If you're hungry, get the avocado toast! Satisfying and awesome.
- Hanna ParkMarch 26, 2014Great place for a breakfast with options. All food and beverage items available at opening. So go light or get something more hearty, whatever floats your boat!
- Tasting TableAugust 2, 2012Try the Israeli salad with hummus, diced tomato and red onion, baguette toast heaped with avocado, cumin, olive oil and lemon juice, and the ginger lemonade: Read more
- The cucumber Baguette toast with olive oil, lemon juice, and chili flakes has a peppery, smoked finish more sophisticated than the quaint space appears!
- Great sandwiches and coffee. Breakfast served all day to a super soundtrack.
- rob zandApril 27, 2014the Caesar salad dressing will leave your breath smelling like garlic for hours. your best friends and family too will draw away. kissing is out of the question.

- The commons guys are the nicest!! Delicious food and great la colombe coffee
- John AAugust 16, 2014Fresh salads, yummy bakery, and the ginger lemonade and iced mint tea are cool on a summer day.
- The egg sandwich is easily the best thing on the menu. Chicken sandwich a very close second - add some tomato to set it off.
- Ryan LagasseAugust 4, 2013Nifty coffee spot that flys a bit under the radar. Free wifi, small space with exposed tiles and wood tables a plus. Coffee and location are average. Worth a stop through.
- Bridget BadoreSeptember 1, 2015Seriously the best egg sandwich in the city -- get it with avocado or try the yummy avocado toast too 💘
- TiffanyMarch 30, 2016Cafe is fairly small but has a range of foods to try. We just got coffee but definitely come for the food as well.

- David BanApril 17, 2014Drop by around 7-7:30 for a perfectly cozy after work wine 'n snacks scene. Don't be surprised if it clears out after one service.
- Tim SheyDecember 3, 2011The baked goods, by the owner's mother (Arlene's Bakery), are superb. Try the sour cream and olive oil cakes with some La Colombe coffee.
- Friendly and attentive staffs. Reasonably priced espresso drinks. Good for lunch and small bites also.
- Maxwell FoxmanJune 23, 2016A touch expensive for my taste ($5 for an iced tea) but I guess comparable for the area. Nice vibe and friendly staff they only allow laptop use in the morning.
- Brian McFaddenJanuary 25, 2016Delicious food and coffee. Skip Starbucks and come here. Also, the staff is always friendly.
- Try the bacon, egg and cheese. It's made with cayenne pepper and it adds a delicious and unexpected kick.

- Eric ChandlerJanuary 13, 2012I'm a Grey Dog fan, but The Commons may have just nabbed the spot as my neighborhood favorite. Smaller, more intimate, quiet.
- Guri VenstadSeptember 28, 2012This small Chelsea oasis has lunch I thought you could only find in Brooklyn AND great people!
- Kate MechemMay 16, 2012The grilled cheese is the best I've ever had! With avocado and tomato of course
- Free refills of La Colombe coffee! Amazing but just points out that I drink way too much caffeine.
