Irish pub. Elegant & welcoming. The menu is traditional. Dry agedNY strip steak & seared diver scallops are both local favorites.Perfect for groups of friends to eat & drink, to congregate and laugh. Read more
Everything was delish! Salmon burger with crispy chips and a lemony aioli after tomato bisque and a cocktail called "suffering bastard" haha what more could you ask for...
Order the Truffle Fries with aioli. Delish! Only a true gentleman will talk to (you/your stinky mouth) afterwards. Reserve for ladies night or basketball game on TV at the bar.
Extensive draft beer selection. Definitely a happy hour/commuter/after work bar. This area is in dire need of good bars and The District helps fill that void.
Fawn is an awesome bartender - makes amazing drinks and caters to everyone - she made my friend a gluten freecocktail and she was so sweet and remembered all of our names
This used to be our go-to place, across our building, nice food, good ambiance and good service. I don't know what happened but it all went downhill, the last times were horrible. Not coming back.
The food and table service here isn't great. I'd come here again but only for drinks and the atmosphere... and because I live down the street. UPDATE: Waitress gave us a huge discount. Will try again.
Stopped by for brunch because of how welcoming it looked. Food was alright. Pretty sure I tasted tonic in Mimosa.. Music is choice though. Melissa could have been more attentive.
Second time here. Place is nice and cozy food is ok . Can sit anywhere and watch the game but the service is horrible. Waitress spends more time talking to the bartender then her tables
Worst experience ever-I've been here several times (bar and tables) and I honestly cannot believe how bad the service is. They act like they are doing you a favor to serve you! I will never come back.
Seems like a good bar but a sad excuse for a restaurant...overpriced, unoriginal mediocre at best food. My "salad" consisted of yellow lettuce and dressing. There was not a single other vegetable.
The District Bar is the newest addition to Manhattan's Upper East Side. The gastropub offers a warm, inviting feel while adding a bit of pop & spice to your average local pub.
