It might seem silly, what with all the other wonderful options, but the fruit bowl is a fabulous way to start brunch.

Raw and sandwich oysters are amazing. As are the fries and the summer lettuce. Avoid the shrimps, they are kinda limp. Oh and Greek white wine, real nice too.

From Sam Sifton of the NYT: Eat a tiny fried oyster sandwich, a bite of steak tartare, a dish of smoked chicken and mushroom stroganoff. Have a steak and some raw oysters

score a prime spot at the window seat near the bar -- it opens all the way up on warm evenings. must try the smoked ricotta ravioli, even if you're sharing.

Sample the oysters. Wonderfully fresh. I'd recommend staying with the east coast varietal. Somewhat meaty and with good salinity.

Food blogger Eleanore Wells recommends The Dutch, which “has a stylish, but not pretentious, crowd.” She recommends the eggplant dip with savory crackers as a simple, yet tasty starter.

Had appetizers and a bottle of prosecco. The apps were tasty but tiny. The service at the bar was less than thrilled to be working on a Sunday, and it showed.
