Get the lamb and rice... Beware of the imposter during the day! They should be wearing yellow shirts, have yellow bags and have the logo "we are different" ;)

Try the lamb gyro with white sauce and it won't disappoint you. And it's only 6 bucks. Also, the long lines are worth the wait!

The chicken and rice empire's platter is a buck or two more expensive now but still a value. Lamb > chicken

Chicken and Lamb combo. Hot sauce is super hot, so taste it before you add too much. Don't skimp on white sauce!

Be careful everyone. There are impostors who have setup shop on the corner of W53rd & 6th (across from the hotel) who use the same color scheme, same bags, and almost the same logo as The Halal Guys!

Great spot. Food is fresh and very tasty. I've eaten here last three times I was in NY and it was consistently good. Will go back, don't care what the haters below say, just a bunch of salty people

For a shorter line and even better food, visit their 52nd Street & Sixth Avenue cart during the day--beats the original.

Mix combo. A lil white sauce for me (its mayonnaise based), and all the hot sauce. Nothing like tears of pain and joy on the streets of nyc.

Not a fan of the chicken, gets a bit dry, but everything else is wonderful. Beware of the hot sauce. If you can’t handle spicy it’ll ruin your meal, day, and next morning. 😉

Cash only (duh?), seven bucks for a rice plate and five bucks for a sandwich. Great rice and pita. These days I can only eat about half before I get sick of it, though.

Worth taking the trip from NJ on late drunken nights. chicken/lamb combo is good.use excessive white sauce w/ a little BBQ. you won't regret it. But you will if you accidentally put hot sauce instead.

There's usually a shorter line on the 7th Ave and W 53rd St side. Chicken was dry and lacked flavor so stick to just lamb. Can't beat the value proposition here for $7. 4/5

The other guys (with the same tshirts and bags) are the same company. BUT they usually forget to put everything the original stand does, like lettuce, or falafel if you get veggie.

Lamb and rice platter! At least two white sauces to go and quarter of one hot sauce (if like spicy). *BEWARE of hot sauce! Extremely hot (and not just saying that. Proceed with caution. =o)
