It's great. Long line but it moves fast . Be careful of the hot sauce or get it on the side because I understand its very hot

Best food to get after a night out clubbing! Get the mixed plate, no veggies, extra pita. White sauce, some bbq and a tinge of hot sauce. Bangin'

Saw the long line late one night and knew I had to try it. Tried the Chicken over rice with HOT sauce.... 2 days later. Great food.

Mixed gyro tastes good. White sauce is a must but hot sauce is terrible although I had just 5 drops. Either the sauce or the food itself made my stomach hurt all night.

Go to the one on W 53rd & 7th. There is rarely any line and if there is the line is much shorter than both 53rd & 6th locations.

Most food for the money. Not much flavor though, need to smother it in white sauce! $6 for most options, tons of food! Long lines, but the move quickly!

Founded by Mohammed Abouelenein in 1990 as a hot dog cart. In 1992 they changed the business to be as it's today. Overrated food thus!

Don't let the lines food you. There are two of the exact same carts on both sides of 6th! The food is orgasmic and the white sauce is like crack!

Always a line. Good but Sammy's halal cart on Jackson/Roosevelt is more authentic and delicious.

For people who do not know, there was a business split and the original halal guys moved to 52nd street and 6th avenue. Try getting food from there, its really the best.

If you have to take it to go, pour 1 red sauce into 1 white sauce container, shake it up and I promise you, the proportion will always be perfect

The falafel balls were a little too hard and over-fried, and the rice was dry. If you're into the white sauce (I'm not), try adding a lot of that — it'll probably help.

If you're here during the day then you're probably at the imposter cart i.e. "New York's Best Halal Food". Still good but just sayin'.

Absolutely amazing. Esp when you're starving at 4am. Talk your cabbie into ordering ahead and you won't have to wait in line. White sauce rocks but the red sauce is lethal. Damn hot.

1 of the best meals in NY is served on the street. Get TWO gyros because you'll regret only getting 1 and don't turn down the "hote sose." For some reason ALL the gyro stands in NY are ONLY found here

the best way to eat the hot sauce is to get a hot sauce tub, dip your fork in the tub, and eat. you get the hot sauce taste and a little buzz so you don't die form the heat!
