- Stephanie MuzzallMarch 22, 2016Lovely stay and conference at The Royal York. They catered well for my dietary requirements and the gym is well equipped. Breakfast avocado on toast was delicious as well as the homemade granola
- John HydeDecember 6, 20145th floor rooms are huge, but the elevator only goes to the third floor. The steps are not bad at all!
- Philip GainesJuly 7, 2020Lovely decor people from the lovely city of York will appreciate!!! Any one else use the premier inn 😂😂
- Christiane LinkMarch 29The hotel entrance, reception and green room look amazing. Our room was ok but there was an awful sewer like smell in the bathroom and the hallway. Food was ok but not excellent.
- DHR.comJuly 16, 2012The state-of-the-art health and fitness club treats you to facilities such as a heated swimming pool, whirlpool spa and more.
- Mark Watts-JonesMarch 10, 2011Very close to station. Decent if not exactly inspiring hotel generally. Breakfast ok. Rooms at front have views of York Minster and city Walls. 5 mins walk from town centre.
- Kevin FloodAugust 20, 2011No Air-con in rooms but I suppose that's not necessary up north normally. Really gorgeous architecture though and good breakfast. Parking is charged, which you don't find out before you arrive.
- JNETSeptember 12, 2014Two reviewers thought the toilets looked "spectacular". I didn't see what the fuss is about.... Commode is common looking. I guess the sinks are exciting???
- Adrian WarnerSeptember 6, 2012It might be a posh hotel, but you still don't get a plug socket by the end. (or a decent sized portion of dinner)
- Wi-fi is shocking - any modern hotel promoting conference facilities should have FREE high-speed wi-fi
- Alex HardieAugust 28, 2010Great hotel. Very large. Wonderful breakfasts. Convenient for the station as it's right next door
- For a large Hotel in the modern age the Wi-Fi is appalling
- Mark AntrobusDecember 11, 2011You can't park here unless you pay ten pounds to do so. That on top of the room fee.
- Richard CarterOctober 13, 2012So-so: overpriced rooms but the front rooms have decent views of York Minster ad the city walls
- Stuart SandersNovember 22, 2011Don't stay here. I end up doing it once a year and it is always awful. This time I have single beds, no double! The Marriott is so much nicer and virtually the same price.
