Ring the bell, get seated in plush couches. Pull chain on wall to order, classy ladies come get your order then bring the drinks from an unseen back bar. Great music/atmosphere. Fantastic date spot.

Sexy wallpaper, awesome booths, delicious drinks. My tip is to leave your name early, get dinner and drinks around the area, and then be ready for Raines at a minute's notice when they call!

Check in with the hostess & try not to be a dick if there's a waitlist. Worth the wait, the cocktails are yummy and the back patio is perfect for a hot summer night. You have to order at the bar.

Has a speakeasy aesthetic from its windowless, living room-style interior down to a functioning doorbell guests have to ring. A charming courtyard with outdoor seating adds a little breathing room. Read more

The mixologists are one of the best in the city. Communicative, great personalities and better drinks. Get a lounge space or drink at the bar .. never a bad time at the RLR !

Love the vibes here. There can be a long wait, but if you arrive before 9pm, it’s quite easy to get a spot. Crimson fix and Magic hour if you like gin-based. Sherry colada is an amazing tiki drink.

The best cocktail speakeasy now doing Tiki drinks. The blackstrap rum mixed with pineapple, Campari, bitters, and other treats served over a big ice rock tasted like refreshing molasses goodness.

Lives up to the hype. This speakeasy is very cozy. Only a single small dish of cheese, olives, and soppressata. Try the old fashioned, or anything bourbon based. Peep the wallpaper.

Best day to come is midweek after early dinner. The Raines Law Room is a beautiful, sexy and perfect place to unwind, catch up and sip on finely made shaken or stirred cocktails.

Speakeasy-style bar that feels like having drinks at your rich friend's house. Excellent cocktails and a beautiful patio. Reservations recommended for peak hours.

Ring bell to be let inside(if full will take your# & call) and step into a cozy subterranean bar "living room" lounge. Bartenders/waitresses friendly. Great creative cocktails.

Ring the unmarked doorbell, put your name down, wait. Get a private space for 6. Order the spicy mexcal drink. Check out the wall paper. Only food is a charrcut platter. $20/drink w. tax and tip.

One of the nicest cocktails bars in NYC. Four separate rooms with totally a different feel and decor. Very good drinks too, obviously.

The speakeasy vibe is a little tired (secret stairs, ring a bell, get seated by a bouncer), but this place has a great cozy vibe and really good cocktails.

Great for dates. Come 1h earlier than you want to drink. Expect to stand in the back for 1 drink and then sit. Look at the bartender favorites list in the menu for the most interesting cocktails.

There is no better scotch cocktail than the Philadelphia Story, which is mixed with amaro averna, st. germain, grapefruit, and bitters. It's smoky, spicy, with a strong hint of citrus.

Awesome speakeasy but often crowded...best to go at off times. All the drinks are good, and they have outdoor space/garden in the back for when it's nice. General decor is really dark.

Gorgeous little speakeasy - ring the bell & you're granted access. Excellent selection of cocktails & the decor is stunning. The Kama sutra styled paisley print on the walls is really something!

By far, my favorite cocktail bar! The comfy couches, naughty wallpaper and speakeasy vibe make it my standard to go place when my friends are visiting from out of town. This is New York.

This place has great ambiance. From the music, to the lighting, to the scented candles they burn. It's a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. Try the Green Point.

Tucked away behind a staircase, locked door & a host straight out of the 20s, this vintage speakeasy is the perfect setting for a rendezvous. My vodka gimlet was beyond my normally high standards.

A hidden gem of epic proportions. Make sure to call ahead to reserve your spot. "Raine's Law" was actually the first of many state laws in the late 1890s that ultimately resulted in Prohibition.
