- This restaurant is INCREDIBLE. There is no substitute-- amazing cuisine, top-notch cocktails by some of the best in the city. And yes, check the men's room: Al Capone *really did* piss here. :-D
- Michael CJuly 2, 2015Fantastic food, service, setting, ambiance. Cocktails and wine list were superb. Beautiful starters that include a pasta course selection. The menu changes as produce is available and seasonally.
- SheilaOctober 14, 2016The best food I have had in KC. Great selection of wine. Recommend the charcuterie plate, scallops, and the persimmon pie. Unforgettable experience. Amazing service from Cassie.
- Fantastic steaks and adventurous menu. Really enjoy the risotto and creamed kale as well. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and well informed. One of my favorite spots in Kansas City.
- Mindy RiOctober 10, 2018The duck breast, sweet potato and brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection and the drinks were smooth. The Trey Bryan paintings give it a nice touch. It was upscale, without feeling pretentious.
- Nick BergusMay 25, 2015Creative food, good drinks, relaxed atmosphere. Cocktails are good (with lots of house-made mixers). Try anything rabbit. Even the "safe" menu items are good. Service was OK.
- Russell HirschornDecember 14, 2019Just had a drink but the place is awesome with open kitchen and old school feel. Oloroso aged bourbon was really good and the Old Fashion too.
- One of my favorite restaurants in the city!!! Sit at the Chef's bar if you get the chance to watch where the magic happens. Order everything! It's all delicious! Service is fantastic!
- Theresa O'LearyAugust 10, 2018The restaurant part above Manifesto speakeasy. It has a 1920's-30's vibe to it, and really good food. I recommend it for dinner.
- Spencer SorrellDecember 4, 2014The Creamed Kale is exquisite. Brisket with Crispy Oysters delicious as well. As far as cocktails are concerned, give the Horsefeather a try.
- The bartender on Monday and Wednesday nights is incredible. Tip well and tell him he looks like a young John Travolta. Oh and the pork cheek potpie is mouthwatering. Thank chef Howard Hanna in advance
- Serious EatsJanuary 28, 2014We're big fans of the Smoked Beet Reuben. Think the soul of a Jewish deli reincarnated in Kansas City. (And it's vegetarian!)
- Katherine M.September 28, 2016"The Rieger is writing a regular love letter to pork. The cocktails are well-balanced and the house made sodas—the ginger ale in particular—are inspired." Read more
- Shawn PurvisApril 22, 2015If you are going on a weekend get there early so you can get a spot downstairs at Manifesto for a cocktail. Best bartenders in KC. Excellent food.

- Serious EatsJuly 25, 2014Start with pork soup--a layered concoction of Gruyere, pork confit and chicharron.
- Jason KeeneJuly 25, 2011By far the best drinks in town! Sit at the bar and don't plan on leaving for a while! Menu is fantastic and honestly order their nightly specials. Their fixed menu is good but not great however ev Read more
