- Jennifer KaneAugust 1, 2016Beautiful hotel right on bourbon st. GREAT location , very friendly and attentive staff. The manager even sent champagne and strawberries to our room for my 40th birthday!5 stars definitely recommend
- David BagwellJuly 21, 2013Nice hotel for couples and singles. Kids are not a great idea here. The location's front door being on Bourbon makes it really easy to get in on the action. The hotel staff are very friendly.
- Carmen JenkinsOctober 20, 2011Nice hotel, helpful & friendly staff, great location! Malcolm the door man is awesome!! Tip: Let the shower run for about 15mins if u want a hot shower otherwise its lukewarm
- Bachelor10May 6, 2011The point is to have a room overlooking Bourbon Street so book here well in advance. If you’re worried about the noise, have one or two in the front & the rest facing the courtyard and pool out back. Read more
- Bitches Who BrunchMay 16, 2017While the Royal Sonesta won our respect with comfortable beds and great security, they won our hearts with a complimentary happy hour on the roof each evening. Read more
- Monique StearnsApril 24, 2016Hotel is so pretty! I don't think the rooms are worth $400 a night but the hotel it's self is beautiful!
- Otel.comMay 29, 2012There's definitely a lot to desire about the hotel's Desire Bistro & Oyster Bar. It offers scrumptious Louisiana seafood specialties, New Orleans' creole recipes and more.
- HeenaNovember 30, 2014Beautiful sitting area in the middle - would love to sit with a drink and read.
- Chris PolloneSeptember 18, 2015This is a great hotel in a great location. However, as of Sept 13, 2015, the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and we were awoken every day at 9:00am by drilling and hammering. Beware.
- Ricel AlmadovarDecember 24, 2014Cool to hang out in Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse. There's a $15 cover if you're not a hotel guest but def worth it!
- Simon ColeMarch 11, 2012Beautiful hotel, great spot on Bourbon St. We were in a balcony room on Bourbon St which was awesome for people watching and some bead throwing.
- I've stayed here at least 10 times. Location is great, staff is too. Rooms on Bourbon St., even on the 5th floor, are very noisy. Hotel needs to deal with homeless in front of property sleeping.
- a great place to stay if you want to be on Bourbon Street... always clean and staff is great. Only drawback is noise depending on time of year, but it is NOLA!
- Danie RobledoJuly 31, 2011Great hotel within FQ, but you are right on bourbon so be prepared for noise, but more often than not, you will be the one making it
- Ride these to the floor your room is on. Or to the third floor for the pool. Or to the lobby. Or the parking garage, etc.
- Alison FernerApril 21, 2013If you value your sleep, don't book a street-facing room. The noise level was absurd and went all night long. Go for a courtyard room with a view of the pool instead.
- Victor MillerApril 24, 2013Great staff, central location, terrific grits. Makes life in the Quarter simple.
- Reserve123.comApril 30, 2012Great place for people watching during Mardi Gras- make friends with someone in a balcony room!
- Morgan SJanuary 5, 2010If you pass the hotel itself, heading towards Canal on Bourbon, there is a small adjunct bar that is perfect for football watching away from crowds. Also, a damn fine bloody mary.
- great place to have sex with someone who is using an expense account.
- SamsoniteMay 3, 2011Enjoy crazy Bourbon Street from the view of the Royal Sonesta's Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse. There's no cover for Hotel guests!
- A Hum on the rocks after dinner is a great way to end your evening of Jazz at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse
- Sara SetayeshAugust 14, 2012At the Irvin Mayfield Jazz playhouse great music loving this jazz group!!
- Priya TungrusAugust 28, 2015Not pleased. Works on Conti Street (from 7am!) which we were not informed of. Staff bordering on rude, and extremely bad concierge. Situated on Bourbon Street, noise comes in through windows. :-(
- Malcolm likes to get pvt cabs for non speaking guest who charge 4x what a regular cab charges not cool!!
- Scott MillerApril 21, 2012Prepare yourself for this ridiculousness by bending over and grabbing your ankles.
- Scott TurnerFebruary 26, 2011No better place to spend Mardi Gras. Malcolm the door man is the MAN on Bourbon!
- Look out for the attached bar...very pricey cocktails compared to the rest of Bourbon.
