- funky flavorJanuary 20, 2017The lunch special here is very apealing. Burger with fries or chapperds pie or steak with a half pint of selected beer for 11,00 dollars, cant beat that in this area. And the brioche buns yummmy!
- andy ballDecember 16, 2015I went here ONLY because of the the comments in FourSquare. I WAS NOT disappointed. Great beer, very knowledgable bar staff, good service, lots of atmosphere, unpretentious, food, just a GREAT place.
- Ask for an outside table-there is a hidden patio upstairs in the back with table service. Always ask for the special list, order the nachos, and enjoy a beer from a constantly changing rotation.
- KarenJuly 22, 2019Excellent place to host a small event upstairs for 15-20 people. The food is delicious. The staff are incredible and just awesome. They have helium on site!
- By far the best beer selection in the neighborhood, outside patio is wonderful in the spring ( you can stay out their as late as you want now). The blue burger is epic, make sure you get Cajun fries.
- Jeremy JacobowitzNovember 4, 2014One of my fav bars in the city! Every time I come in they have an amazing selection of new and unique american craft beers! Laid back vibe and pretty good food!
- Chelsea RenaudNovember 6, 2015It’s really more of a beer scene. Stag’s Head excels at going beyond the typical roster of Ballast Point taps, so if you’re into deep cuts of craft beer, you’ll be happy here.
- Sabina A.September 29, 2012Good for getting a beer with friends. Excellent beer selection, with an upstairs patio. It's also connected to another bar. There is a $20 credit card minimum but two draft beers end up being $14.
- Great food! Chips for nachos were homemade, great craft beers, super friendly waitress, and a roof deck. Best place I've been to in midtown! GO HERE!
- Andrew COctober 11, 2017Like any happy hour pub in midtown... lots of people, loud chatter, but quick bar service (plenty of craft beers on tap) + tables were packed too!!!
- Always busy, especially the after work crowd. Decent foods and craft beers. Extra TV's to watch sports without necessarily having the sports bar feel.
- Good place for happy hour. If you have a casual date, it works because you can talk and hear eachother too. There's a small outside patio but gets crowded.
- UntappdOctober 15, 2012Great craft beer on the UES. Great draft/bottle list and a outdoor area for the summer time! Food selection is also a winner!
- The $10 lunch special is one of the best deals in this part of Midtown. Generally, much more chill than Cornerstone.
- allisonSeptember 28, 2014The fried chicken in the Fried Chicken tastes like Houston's Flying Chicken Platter. Yummy!
- Ask the bartenders what you are in the mood for: they will recommend and let you sample different beers. The next door gets a bit crazy so stay here unless you just want to get wasted.
- Alan MooimanJuly 28, 2012Fair lunch special, $10 gets you one of a few meals and a half pint of certain meals. I always go for the chicken pot pie or shepard's pie. Not super fast service though (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Julia MontiSeptember 22, 2015Awesome outdoor seating on the rooftop if the weather is nice. Great after work happy hour spot.
- Daniel PorterOctober 10, 2014Great beer and awesome happy hours. If you can get a seat outside, never leave!
- Theresa RoldanJuly 10, 2016Loved the outdoor area. Was a great place to just hang out with friends with good beer
- deestivOctober 19, 2014Great apps and good beer selection - perfect place to grab a drink & a bite after work.
- Kirit LezotteMay 21, 2014Great place. Played Johnny Cash and great beers big selection of craft brews and bartenders know their stuff
- if you like beer talk to bartender and get a reccomendation. If you dont love beer, but still want to order one the lighest offerings are Chelsea Blonde on tap or Abita light in a bottle.
- 16 rotating taps of american craft beer plus a solid bottle list. Knowledgble friendly staff that can always provide solid beerducation or suggest a food pairing.
- Brew YorkAugust 3, 2011Carved out of the back of another bar, this craft beer spot is an oasis in the vast wasteland of generic Midtown after-work bars. Check out the patio upstairs.
- If you prefer your meat cooked well-done, specify that when ordering the sliders. They were very pink. I absolutely adore the pear cider, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about their beers.
- Damian BayonaDecember 18, 2015Beer towers are convenient for the whole party. Decent selection of craft beers.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantMarch 6, 2015Birthday party. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here but ok. Good sazarec and the Cajun fries are v tasty. Midtown office crowd
- Great happy hour and lunch deal, servers are awesome and super nice. Great after work spot!
- Ronaldo HidalgoJuly 7, 2013Great beer selection, knowledgable bartender, chicken and waffles are a must!
- Lauren FrescoJanuary 27, 2014Had my purse stolen here. Staff was very helpful, but still...keep an eye on your belongings!!
- Outdoor area in the back is nice, although can be a little low on airflow for the hottest summer days.
- Sinking Ship RecordsMay 29, 2011The bartenders are cute - and they like to chat. So treat them well. It's not uncommon to get a couple drinks knocked off your bill! Consider it a challenge.
- Bob SchwitterJanuary 8, 2013They still have mad elf available and it's on tap! Enjoy the PA brew while you can cuz it's gone for us.
- Cobb sandwich is my favorite here. Best bar in the neighborhood for craft beer
- Susan LeeNovember 4, 2011Great beer selection & try the baby Guinness shots. Ask for moist towelettes! :)
