- Go see the shoe doctor! That man will take good care of your shoes.
- Carol LeeNovember 10, 2010Love the wide hallways and mini chandeliers in the rooms! The regal decor and ambience is everything I expected from the St. Francis.
- Doug RuskFebruary 22, 2023Could be a beautiful property but is poorly maintained. Chateau Montelena winery tasting room in the lobby is the highlight.
- Ask for a room in the Towers. The other, older section of the hotel has dark rooms and thin walls.

- Tim WilsonJanuary 23, 2013Take the BART from SFO. Simple. Fast. And drops you off in the heart of Union Square, just 2 blocks from the Westin.
- Michael SaitowNovember 19, 2013It's loud. The 3am trash collection sounds like godzilla outside the tower. Also bring plenty of long cord chargers because the outlets in this wing couldn't be laid-out any worse
- Briana VenianaJune 15, 2012Make sure to check out this place from the ceiling to the floor. Beautiful architecture and detail.
- Andy AndersonApril 6, 2010Check out the Imperial Room on the 32nd floor for killer views. The ride up the glass windowed elevator is worth it by itself!
- Katy MorrisDecember 24, 2011Ask to stay in the old part of the hotel. Rooms are a tad smaller but bigger on character.
- Moua LoFebruary 15, 2013Here for a conference? If you need lotion, just ask the front desk for some. Awesome.
- Michelle JacobsonMay 23, 2015Nothing like ending the night with an absinthe from The Clock Bar. Professionals only please... And you'll still probably want to head up to your room before you finish it ...
- JJ VenturiniFebruary 14, 2015At elevators enter floor number & insert room key in slot. Elevator only goes to your floor
- Try the Roast Prime Rib of Beef - @nutzareus *shaking fist*
- Leif JohnsonMay 10, 2013If you plan on using the hotel Internet here, bring an ethernet cable. The regular $14.95 wireless service is super weak.
- Not impressed at all. Had to move rooms as my 1st room smelled of vomit. The carpet & colour pallet is from a bygone era. Having trouble connecting to guest WiFi. That's a serious problem...
- Eduardo GJanuary 5, 2016Bad, bad, bad hotel. The only good thing is the ubication. You hear all night noises from the rooms beside yours! I can't sleep in all my stay.
- Get a room on the highest floor possible if youre a light sleeper. Noisy street traffic.
- If you have the money and the means Victor's Palace is the place with a million dollar view.
- Matt KessingerJanuary 19, 2012Wonderful hotel but the walls are thin in the older part of the hotel. You can hear everything!
- Aaron SeversFebruary 5, 2012The glass elevator is like a theme park ride! Go to the top and back down and feel the vertigo!
- HISTORYMarch 29, 2010Silent film comic Fatty Arbuckle's career crashed down when a party he hosted at this hotel resulted in the death of young actress Virginia Rappe in 1921. President Ford was also shot at here in 1975.
- joni hoadleyApril 19, 2011Elevators are slooowww. Might want to stay on lower levels so you can take the stairs.
- Jason HumeniukJanuary 31, 2010Ensure that Kayleen is your server. She is more than worth the price of admission. Great espresso martini.
- Ray CrawfordNovember 16, 2011Steer clear of the fruit at the @Starbucks in the lobby; it isn't very fresh looking... that said, the scones are to dye for...
- Right across from Union Square. Great location for shopping in the city.
- Eddie BurchFebruary 28, 2012No free WiFi for guests?! Seriously? Otherwise a great hotel in an awesome location. Gotta go to Starbucks to work online, however
- Carmine GalloApril 16, 2011If you're giving a presentation in a Westin conference room, think visually. Presentations are better with words AND pictures. More communication tips at www.carminegallo.com
