Marilyn FungOctober 5, 2011This spot is popular so it is quite noisy - great for groups but not good if you're not a morning person! I love the Tasso Grits & Eggs, which I had poached. Breakfast happy hour 8-11 weekdays.

Gulf shrimp with andouille over grits--most delicious thing I've eaten in a long time! Definitely get it! Cauliflower soup also really good! Oysters bienville not bad.- Beignets, Crab Benedict, Biscuits & Gravy, Banana Foster French Toast.

- For breakfast, the coffee and beignets are must haves. The Crab Benedict is amazing. Also get side of biscuits - soooo good.

Just missed the happy hour but they had a good sazerac and the small plates were great.

the expresso dipping sauce for the beignets are delicious as are the beignets.

Crawfish!!! Go have that at the breakfast happy hour between 9 and 11 AM. Their French press coffee is dang good too!!! I've since left Peso's breakfast for theirs. :-)
HUGE and delicious late night happy hour menu. Fried green tomatoes a must try. Kitchen closes at 1am restaurant closes at 2am.

David NanceApril 17, 2010Gumbo was interesting, for you Southern expats. They use basamati rice which is kinda wierd, and the roux was a bit on the salty side, but good overall. Nice stiff drinks as they are next door.
