Tons of history here. Take in everything! Beefeater tours are worth it so long as you remain close enough to hear him or her speak.

Was there in a pavilion just outside the tower for a ball. Very nice however, insulation from doors was not good so we got cold and access to the pavilion was tricky in heels!

ALL toilets in the area - from the nearest tube station (Tower Hill) - require 50 pence per entry! Even those inside eateries. Go to the loo BEFORE your visit!

Tower of London, a royal fortress and London landmark. It has served historically as a royal palace, a political prison, a place of execution, an arsenal, a royal mint, and a public records office

Download the Tower of London Free app for a guide, as the voice guide costs £4 for adults. The Yeomen also do free guides, although limited. Use free wifi at the ticket booths or Costa's nearby.

This place is bigger than it looks. Like Dr Who's Travis it's bigger from the inside. The old tower in the middle is a must see.
