- Michael LunøeDecember 11, 2016Love this place. A little bit more rowdy than speakeasy bars, but still great cocktails! Great whiskey selection. A good place for a group, and their beer selection is pretty good too.
- EaterApril 16, 2013The Tradition is complete with its own proprietary bottled, aged spirits, and a lengthy drinks bible divided into various genres of drinking: tiki, Irish pub, speakeasy, dive bar, etc.
- Tasting TableDecember 4, 2014Have a choose-your-own-adventure cocktail outing with your office mates at Tradition, a fantastic bar featuring a cocktail menu divided into sections showcasing different cocktail traditions. Read more
- Adrian PhillipsSeptember 8, 2016Very big fan of the spirits with "washes" here. They have an Espolon Tequilla with a coffee wash that is one of the tastiest little boozy beverages I've had the pleasure of putting down my gullet.
- Ashwin KumarFebruary 12, 2017Some of the best cocktails I've had in California! Try "the bag". It's called "the exotic" and comes with roasted banana, pineapple, coconut cream and gin or rum. CUTE PLACE TOO
- Tanner ChristensenAugust 16, 2015Cozy bar, a lot of good whiskey cocktails. Get a reservation for a little privacy, or show up early for a seat at the bar.
- Aaron BoboJanuary 4, 2014Afternoon Tea Sour was amazingly well made. Refreshing and strong. Really like the mood of this place as it's upscale and relaxed yet not swanky so it fits everyone.
- Zack SheppardDecember 8, 2013The Sazerac is world class, but if you're a real spirits fan you've got to try the Bulliet Rye and Green Chartreuse barrel-aged spirit. It's simply awesome.
- Chris GoldenAugust 2, 2014Don't be fooled by the fact their house old fashioned is made with wild turkey. It's not the wild turkey of your youth. It's barrel aged and amazingly tasty.
- John DiddyMarch 15, 2018Cool place with a speakeasy vibe... chat to the bartender about what you like and they’ll hook you up. 😊
- Gusto LopezMarch 23, 2014I dug this spot. The bartenders looked like they were part of The Lumineers (fashion style) and were very helpful. I also love the decor and intimate little booths.
- 7x7 MagazineNovember 30, 2012Chocolately and boozy, the Borracha Abuelita ("drunk grandmother") made with tequila, chili-spiced hot chocolate and Mezcal-infused whipped cream is a surefire way to keep you warm during the winter. Read more
- BarChickAugust 22, 2013Waltz in and find a seat along the bar or in the small mezzanine (good people watching) and order from a frequently changing menu
http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/san-francisco/tradition - Ali AndersonNovember 30, 20141920's themed bar with a dark speak easy atmosphere. Solid cocktails - a recommend stop on a tenderloin bar tour.
- QuinteinFebruary 21, 2017One of the coolest bars I've been to. They have semi-private booths on one side and a separate upstairs bar.
- Amanda SchneiderJuly 19, 2015You can't go wrong with any cocktails in the Tiki section of this menu, but I love the surfer on acid
- Alyssa BoissonDecember 3, 2013People with reservations get a different menu than those who pull up a seat at the bar... So plan ahead (the extended menu is awesome).
- Tony McRobertsJuly 10, 2012Industry Special is your best bet. A blue collar brew (pbr, high life, or schlitz...yes, I said schlitz) + a featured shot. Ideally it's the Wild Turkey 101. Recognize.
- Gregory K.September 25, 2017Happy hour cocktails $7. Pretty good. They have cozy little booths. Good for dates and close friends but awkward for drinks with colleagues
- Antonis KalipetisFebruary 7, 2015Great cocktails, nice atmosphere and am overall look from the 20s. Make sure you ask the barman for a suggestion.
- Haley DasarpJanuary 28, 2018Great cocktails, cool seating with private nooks and booths if you don’t want to stand in the crowd
- Sarah GoerzenFebruary 7, 2016The cocktail selection is enormous and most are under $13, a rarity for SF. I loved the Heather in Lace
- Tasting TableAugust 6, 2012Snag a confessional-like “snug” (aka booth) and order a Mind Eraser to rewrite those woozy college memories. This version is deliciously rich and dark: Read more
- Awesome cocktails and cool space. Great place to drink and chat with friends.
- Sabina B.August 6, 2014Same owner as Bourbon & Branch so you know the cocktails are good. The vibe and bartenders here are slightly better though
- Alexander KhadiwalaJanuary 30, 2013They do their own finishes on some scotch they buy, and its delicious. Auchentoshan finished in Sauterne was definitely very interesting.
- Very clever and versatile menu. The tables you get with a reservation are secluded. Try it.
- Order off-menu. Get a Goldrush. You won't be sorry, and you'll become everyone's hero for suggesting it.
- Best French 75s I've ever had! They also have the most perfect ice cubes! Huge fan!
- Eric WillisNovember 23, 2013Excellent spot. Go here. Bartenders can make real drinks-- anything you like.
- Charles HudsonJune 29, 2012If you like bourbon, get the 12 mile. My friend describes it as "summer in your mouth" - tasty.
- You may want to call ahead to reserve a booth for more than two people. Enjoy!
- Giovanni Walter VatieriAugust 10, 2012The South side is pretty good, nice texture and fresh. Fresh mint as final touch...
