Trouble's slabs of toasted brioche are slathered with butter, then crusted with cinnamon and sugar for the ultimate coffee accompaniment. It's the OG San Francisco toast, and it's not messing around. Read more

Here in the morning? Get a Gibraltar with a slice of peanut butter toast with honey on top. If you don't have a great day after that start I'm not sure I can help you sorry.

Trouble has its own unique personality, vibe and ambiance, with a laid back and "you'll have it and you'll like it" attitude—expect chill / apathetic service. The coffee's great and the toast is epic.

AMAZING!! Favorite place to get coffee in Outer Sunset. LOVE the unique offer of fresh coconut. Baristas are always so nice and funky. The cool wooden fixture out front adds fun to my mornings

Great coffee with a side of attitude. Surly alt-chick on the toaster made the visit worthwhile. She practically threw my pb & honey toast at me then curled her lip. See, that’s what I call service!

The gold standard for indie coffee shops; the owner Giulietta is coolness personified. Excellent fair trade coffee, superb local pastries and, yes, service with a hipster vibe🤷‍♂️. Worth a visit!!

Today I tried the girlfriend. It was pretty good but made with tea instead of espresso. Come for the amazing vibe and stay for the great coffee.

Come here for the famous $4 toast. Hang out outside on the log and enjoy your toast with some great espresso. Also, generally good tunes. Nice staff, but can be intimidating and overly-hipster.

Profiled in This American Life, you can't go wrong with the coffee, thick toast (heavily buttered with generous cinnamon sugar), and a coconut. It's particularly comforting when Karl the Fog is in.

Cycle/walk through golden gate park and get a well earned cinnamon toast, coconut & coffee. It's full of character and the food is so good. The butter, toast and cinnamon together was perfection!

The cinnamon toast is outta this world. Super-thick sliced bread is slathered in cinnamon-sugar butter and toasted until the crunchy top shatters into tiny shards with each bite.
