This once enjoyable breakfast juice and burrito spot is increasingly ruined by long lines and the inability of the management to handle volume. Don't get me wrong...I love it here. But less and less.
A fantastic purveyor of the finer things in life: an excellent sandwich and craft beer, right on the south side of McCarren Park. Have a picnic or nurse your hangover inside. Quick service, too.

Date Night Is...April 30, 2013Grab a sandwich to go and plop down in McCarren park or in the seats out front to watch the world go by as you eat. Great spot for a chill Date Night afternoon outing.

used to love the sandwiches here. then for some reason they took all of them off the menu, plus bagels, other baked goods. try to remember not to come here

The menu is changing & their prices on select items are going up (smoothies, coffee, etc.) but they haven't changed them in 3 years. Still always well worth it!

Tahawus sandwich! Chicken salad with a stack of the GOOD bacon on olive tomato bread. I left out the hot peppers.
Great breakfast sandwiches but the service is hit or miss - esp during the weekend rush (i.e. They might screw up your order)

Order the St. Johns Brook or the St. Regis fresh squeezed juice, both with enough ginger to chase away the mightiest of hangovers

The Armstrong is the pinnacle of the bacon, lettuce, avocado & tomato sandwich art form. Eat one and rejoice!
Armstrong sandwich with tempeh bacon and substitute the white bread for rosemary garlic = delicious.

- Saddleback sandwich is my go to. Iced coffee is nothing to write home about, but it will get the job done.

Try the Saddleback Sandwich (Tuna). Great value in my opinion. Back it up with the Kambucha straight from the tap.
