Kurt Miller: Authentic German food with great beer and excellent service. The food is good, tasty, and filling, with everything one would expect from an old-fashioned German restaurant.

BestOf: Don't miss the German pancakes, thin, almost-crepe-like flatbreads wrapped around sweetened, lemon-scented farmer's cheese that are worth the price of admission. Read more.

Kurt Miller: Excellent bakery, deli, and restaurant! The sandwiches are a meal in themselves, so be prepared. The bread is baked fresh, the meat is lean and tender, and everything is made with fresh ingredients.

Serious Eats: One of America's most infamous Jewish delis, where hopeful rockers come to eat at all hours, or drink at the attached Kibitz Room.

Kurt Miller: Excellent Hawaiian food! Fresh ingredients and high quality pork, beef, and chicken in the meat dishes. Try the beef and chicken teriyaki or the hawaiian barbecue entrees. Reasonable prices, too!

OC Weekly: Pie-Not is an Australian restaurant in Costa Mesa that offers authentic Aussie meat pies: freshly baked, kept warm under heat lamps in a display case, and ready for takeout. Read more.

Vivian: House Pan Roast to-go. Pretty hefty portion and there's a good serving of each seafood item included.

David: Good gumbo. If you don't have a big appetite, I recommend dispersing only a portion of the rice into the mix to save room for the meats.
