Crowd favorite. Funny how it's become incredibly family/kid friendly. Homemade tofu dessert and cooked foods rule here. I think there are better place for sushi/sashimi.
The fried rice (chagohan) and gyoza are still awesome. I feel the ramen has gotten worse.
This is always a must-do when we come to Tokyo. Traditional tempura shop, batter is light, but flavorful. Service is simple yet complete. Wish we had something like this back home!
Food is always well executed, but there's just something about the ambiance that makes me feel less than satisfied... I could eat the braised goose and white rice all day long.
Harada-san has a lot of great knowledge to share about sushi, so take advantage of it!
Just want to update... It's not all alfresco... The bar area is enclosed, with 5-6 tables in an Aircon environment. Another 5-6 tables "outside" but under cover, so you won't get rained out.
