The “free” beach chairs (your resort fee covers the cost) are actually $5 camping chairs and completely inappropriate for the beach. Also, no umbrellas at all. Why even offer this?!
This was a great tour. Our tour guide had a story for practically every building along the canals and a great sense of humor. Definitely helped us learn the lay of the land in Amsterdam.
Great place to sit outside on a warm day, endeavor to try one of everything on the beer menu, and catch up over some snacks with friends. ;)

Go at sunset and watch the sun slip below the horizon over Paris from the top of the tower. Then go back to street level and stick around until it sparkles.
This cafe has a surprisingly good Caesar salad. Perfect for a light lunch on a hot summer day.

Such a unique experience. Saw “Once On This Island” and “Oklahoma!” here and each used the round in a compelling way that really added to the show.
Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a great beach. Food is often “meh” but it’s an all-inclusive resort so that basically comes with the territory.
Barcelo Maya is a wonderful resort. The “Palace” is easily the best of the hotels here, with slightly better amenities and a better beach.
The price is right, the food is great, and the giant margaritas are strong. What’s not to love?
Amazing fried chicken at brunch but super un-amazing weekend reservation policy (they now don’t take brunch reservations). That’s a little ridiculous and I’ll pass from now on...
Though crowded, the crowds were expertly managed. This made for an intimate experience and a moving audio tour. Move at your own pace and truly reflect on what you’re hearing.
Order a flat white, grab a window seat, and watch all the bikes fly by during the morning rush.
Don’t bother with the American-style pancakes. Stick to the Dutch style and go with Apple and cheese — it’s incredible.
This place is neatly tucked away and easy to miss, but that would be a mistaken perfectly cooked pasta and excellent red sauce full of flavor. Yum.
