Matt Ta-Min: It's really good. But do take care the bill can really rack up quite quickly. Grab the really nice dishes like the Ootoro, Ikura and sea urchin (uni) and it can get quite expensive.

Matt Ta-Min: Excellent congee here. Cheap, quick and with big portions. Fish & pig liver congees are excellent here. Only problem is their fried dough sticks tend to run out early.
Matt Ta-Min: High class luxury shopping mall in Shinjuku. There's an awesome food court unmatched in Tokyo. The tax free counter is on 6F @ the back. Bring your passport & they give you a cash refund there & then.
Matt Ta-Min: This place is so good there is consistently long (30 mins) queues outside. However it does open @ 7.30am so you can get breakfast ramen! I've tried the whole street & it was really 1 of the very best.
Matt Ta-Min: Come here for your souvenir shopping. You'll find so many lovely Japanese items. A couple of hours can easily be spent browsing around the different floors. Lots of food options here also.
Furniture and Home Store · 宇田川町 · 120 tips and reviews
Matt Ta-Min: I love this store. So many different areas and strange Japanese things to buy. Excellent selection of bags, but you can also pick up picture frame, cosmetics and sports gear!
Matt Ta-Min: Fantastic teppanyaki restaurant. Great choices: steak, chicken & seafood. Loved everything they cooked. Spicy cod roe rice, sirloin steak & yuzu octopus were excellent. English menus, great staff.
Matt Ta-Min: Uniqlo (4F) here is lots bigger than the basement one round the corner, though has less changing rooms. Akachan Hanpo (5F) is a bit of a nightmare of screaming kids. Use the tax free tills if you can.
Matt Ta-Min: Four Tekken 7 machines close to the door, along with a few Street Fighter IV Alpha. The rest are Gundam, FF, Dance Dance and some mental rhythm games. Fun but the locals are complete sharks.
Matt Ta-Min: Road lined with loads of sakura trees. Looks amazing in the evenings when they are in full bloom. In season they block cars from coming down so you can come have a picnic under the beautiful trees
Matt Ta-Min: Bic camera is a massive store with a little bit of everything. Loads of electronics, toys, computers, cosmetics, & Rolexes ... like I said, everything!
Matt Ta-Min: Amazing ramen. Smooth almost creamy pork bone broth, with amazing deep flavour. Pork slices melted in the mouth. This was one of the best ramens I've ever eaten.
Matt Ta-Min: Good beers, and quite a classy modern place. Sadly only open till midnight so you end up getting turfed out and ending up in Hub across the road. Not too smokey!
Matt Ta-Min: Interesting tanmen style ramen. All bowls come topped with a decent portion of veggies. Deluxe version had thickly sliced pork and the runny egg. I preferred their chicken karage to their gyoza.
Matt Ta-Min: Great for your ramen fix. So much choice here. You can get ramen from 7.30am through to 10pm. Not much English on the menus but ordering is really simple. Plenty of pictures on the ticket machines.
Matt Ta-Min: #1 ramen (soy sauce) was good with a light but flavourful pork and chicken broth. Not the most famous on the street but then there are less queues! Also interesting vegetarian and vegan ramen options.
Matt Ta-Min: Downstairs in B1 there are loads of restaurants and shops. Ramen Street has 8 excellent shops all with different styles. An amazing place to come and satisfy your noodle cravings.
Matt Ta-Min: 20F lounge with a nice view out over the city. Coffee served through the day and free cocktails served till 20.30. Quite a nice perk for the business travellers.
