The lavender mint tea is sweet and refreshing, a must try. The raspberry chocolate soufflé is heavenly, served at the perfect temperature. Only downside of this place is that they accept cash only.

Loved their green tea smoked salmon! Loved the greens, the sauce, the very thick toast, and the salmon itself. The ambiance was great, as well. Forego the team/dessert. Get the 6 seater private room!

Super cute and quaint spot to chat with a friend or two. Of course, order the tea (incredible matcha) but don't disregard the food menu, especially the desserts and the tuna lunch special!

Their genmaicha and hojicha teas are my favorites. Authentic Japanese teahouse. Great food, friendly staff (who can always give a good recommendation).

This small tea house is the perfect place to go after dinner. Order up your favorite tea (we’re partial to the Dragon Well Green Tea) and a Green Tea Cake Roll (if they haven’t sold out).

Cozy Jap teahouse w/delicately prepared bentos, donburis, toasts, & desserts. Black sesame creme brûlée is the usual pick but my sweet tooth prefers the Mixed berry Parfait w/ fab flavors & textures

Great option for after lunch/pre dinner hours- opens at 2pm. A small but nice menu with daily specials/large tea menu. For desert, get scones - amazing! A perfect place to come with a book and relax.

The decor alone gives this place a great setting for enjoying some tea. The mochi they serve is the high class one, you won't be able to go back to the one you find in supermarkets.

Tea-smoked salmon salad and earl gray chocolate mochi - amazing. Get a Kago set bento box! Be prepared to wait if you don't get there right when it opens but it'll be worth it!

Great Japanese tea served in a traditional way. They have a tea house inside! They only take cash and the toilet is the most complicated thing I have ever had to operate in a restaurant :) Read more

A cash-only tea house situated just outside of Saint Mark's, Cha-An has a dizzying list of teas, desserts, and bites. It's a solid choice for a date or an intimate conversation.

The Chocolate Mochi beats out the Green Tea and the Black Sesame (the special when I went), so if you can't decide, stick with the chocolate. It's lush & buttery, like a truffle.

Make sure to order a tea served "Gung-Fu" style, a ceremonial style where you get to steep the tea yourself several times to take in all the delicate, nuanced favors.
